Reflecting on 2025 With Gratitude and Music

In less than 48 hours, the year 2025 will come to an end and we will welcome 2026 with all kinds of emotions but before we do that, I want to use this moment to share how grateful I am for 2025.

I've been seeing a trend for a while now, one about listing the things achieved and the things lost in the year 2025. I've wanted to join the trend but in my own style and with my own story to tell.

Alongside my own list, I'm choosing to share three songs that tells my emotion of gratitude more for #ttt and I'm hoping this will remind whoever is reading this to show gratitude too.

I'll be sharing one song for every list, I have three lists but they are all part of the year 2025 for me. A list that right now, I can't even believe I went through all that and survived the year up till now.

It is You that holds us together" is my favourite part of the song, I listen to this song almost everyday because she speaks my heart whenever I tend to worry for anything and I get stronger.

Gratitude list 1 - The losses but still grateful.

This year, I lost money to wrong investments.
This year, I got sick and spent so much on it.
This year, I learned life again in a harsher way.

How Can It Be By Lauren Daigle.

"Oh, the grace reaching out for me, yeah
How can it be, how can it be?" in the song lyrics says it all. God's grace brought me and family this far and I can't believe how much love is shown to me, even when I take some so lightly.

Gratitude list 2 - The big and underhyped wins.

This year, I woke up, ate and walk everyday.
This year, I found life hacks that's saving me.
This year, I spent time with my families.
This year, I didn't lose anyone or myself.

Thank God, I do" in this song's lyrics speaks my mind when I start counting my achievements of the year. They may not be grand but they definitely shaped me better for the coming year.

Gratitude list 3 - Major Achievements.

This year, I completed my country service (nysc), no issues with the leadership body.
This year, I played and won a volleyball match.
This year, I impacted lives with needed gifts.
This year, I learned a skill and got certified.
This year, I started a profile for a big move.
