You probably didn't miss it, as it wasn't a sudden event: Kaia's been limping a bit for some time, but it got really worse the past week or so. It could be arthritis or her ACL (she already had surgery on the other back leg a couple years ago, and they mention she could have the same problem on the other side later). I believe she has a regular vet appointment coming fairly soon, hopefully they can figure it out. Yeah, Le Chat's grumpy face is always fun!

My gardener is way too cheap, and he doesn't want to take more, so I usually try to make it better by paying him bonuses and lunch, too. Minimum wage in Ecuador is now 3$ per hour, and he refuses to charge me more than 2$.
I hope Kaia will be fine! That hip/leg problem is quite common in shepherds, unfortunately, do I hope there's a fix for her.
