I AM - UNSTOPPABLE

Sometimes we feel the weight on us so hard to bear, we try to keep going but it feels like a waste of time to act strong. It feels like we are just deceiving ourselves and holding onto false hopes. We’ve faced so much that weren’t in our favour and we just feel like giving up - I can’t keep going on. We’ve lost so much trying to get what we want and we forget that sacrifices have to be made to get the best things we seek for. It gets overwhelming and then, boom! I can’t go on anymore. Besides, no one seems to be watching me, no one cares.

It is just at that moment of your falling you realize just how close you were to reaching your goals. You will realize that there was actually a light at the end of the tunnel. You will also realize that, though people don’t care, they were watching and waiting to see you fall. Waiting to see you throw everything away after another setback. They know that you have got the best plans and you are moving so quickly in the right direction so they try to stop you and then you gave in to them. Now they are laughing so loud and wickedly, telling you how much of a failure you are.

Life will always throw hurdles your way when you try to achieve some major things that will set you on your next path. Just try to picture how hard it was for you the last time you tried going up the stairs. That’s just a little illustration to let you know just how hard it is to go to the next level. There will always be something making that next step feel difficult to navigate through but the moment you keep going regardless, the more you get closer to your goals. I always tell myself one thing - Hope, giving up is not part of the package, you just have to keep moving, especially when it gets harder because it means you are getting closer and closer to your goals.

Sia in her song UNSTOPPABLE speaks so much in this light and that’s why I chose to share this song from my playlist today. I feel so many of us are beginning to normalize giving up but that is just a trick to make us loose ourselves. Anyone telling you that it will get easier the higher you go is either just trying to make you keep going or is trying to make you give up at some point since you will later realize that it doesn’t get easier. It never gets easier, we only get stronger and wiser. You are unstoppable if you want to be, all you and I have to do is to make sure to always put one foot in front of the other and before we know it, we have reached our goals.

I don’t know whoever has to read this though but this message is first to myself before anyone else because right now I need to be reminded that I have to keep going because I’m so close. If I give up now, I won’t only be regretting it later but a lot of persons will have things to also regret too. For my sake and that of others, I refuse to give up. As they say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and I believe I’ll get to the end no matter how harder it gets and I believe you can too as long as we keep taking a step forward.
