[PL / ENG] A Spring Stroll Through Katowice's Paderewa

Istotnym elementem czwartkowego raportu miała być moja wycieczka po katowickiej Paderewie, ale niestety nie byłam w stanie tego opisać. Czy takie sobie ot osiedle katowickie zasługuje na oddzielny post, i to w dodatku okraszony tagami #pl-travelfeed i #mikrorajza? Nie wiem, ale oznaczę, tak celem poszturchania ;) Nie to, że zachęcam do odwiedzenia tego miejsca, bo ma jakieś walory turystyczne, bo co to - to nie, absolutnie. Nie mniej jednak spacer po tym osiedlu był dla mnie niezwykle przyjemny, i to pomimo monotonnego szumu autostrady w tle. Zapewne sporo wspólnego z tym miała piękna, rozkwitająca wiosna, kiedy wszystko wygląda cudnie. No, ale chyba jednak nie była to tylko zasługa wiosny - to po prostu chyba fajna miejscówka do życia. Popatrzcie.

An important element of Thursday's report was supposed to be my trip around Katowice's Paderewa, but unfortunately I wasn't able to describe it. Does such a so-so housing estate in Katowice deserve a separate post, and one that is additionally decorated with the tags #pl-travelfeed and #mikrorajza? I don't know, but I'll tag it, just for the sake of prodding ;) Not that I encourage you to visit this place because it has some tourist attractions, because what's that - absolutely not. Nevertheless, walking around this housing estate was extremely pleasant for me, and this despite the monotonous noise of the motorway in the background. Probably the beautiful, blooming spring, when everything looks wonderful, had a lot to do with it. Well, but I guess it wasn't just the spring - it's probably a nice place to live. Take a look.

Bloki są wysokie, wokół zadbana zieleń, ławeczki, alejki spacerowe. I cudnie kwitnące drzewa. Jak na każdym tego typu osiedlu fajna infrastruktura: tu zespół szkół, tu fryzjer, tu masażysta, tu dentysta. Wszystko pod ręką.

The blocks are tall, surrounded by well-kept greenery, benches, walking paths. And wonderfully blooming trees. As in every estate of this type, there is a nice infrastructure: a school complex here, a hairdresser here, a masseur here, a dentist here. Everything at hand.

Tu boisko, tu sobie pobiegasz, tam zrobisz zakupy, a co do zasady - piechotą dojdziesz też do parku, do dużego centrum handlowego, lub wręcz - do samego centrum Katowic. Parkingi są spore i rzecz jasna zawalone samochodami, ale śmiem stwierdzić: jeśli nie pracujesz w Dolnej Kózce i nie musisz tam codziennie dojeżdżać, to mieszkając w tym miejscu - nie potrzebujesz auta!

The parking lots are large and of course full of cars, but I dare say: if you don't work in Dolna Kózka and don't have to commute there every day, then living here - you don't need a car! Kwitnące drzewa na tle budynków KTW i innych charakterystycznych punktów Śródmieścia Kato. Fajnie wyglądają z chodnika, więc jaki cudny musi być widok z mieszkania na 12tym piętrze?

Osiedle wysokich bloków otacza też małe i duże domy jednorodzinne. Tak jak na każdym chyba starym osiedlu. Tu te domy są dość raczej zadbane - ale też nie dziwne. W tym miejscu muszą być warte one majątek.

The estate of high-rise blocks also surrounds small and large single-family houses. Just like in every old estate, I guess. Here, these houses are rather well-kept - but not strange either. In this place, they must be worth a fortune.
