Productivity Over Military Force: Navigating the Visions of Verico Economy

For keeping a project like Splinterlands live, it's very essential to engage the players in new activities and the Splinterlands team knows it very well. That's the reason that every month players see new developments and updates in the game. Town hall is one place where you get information about the development going on and the plan of the team. That's the reason I always turn on YouTube and listen to the latest town hall when ever I got the time. To continue the same the development team has shared the exciting new update on lands extension. Visions of Verico, a brand new land card designed specifically to bring more utility, rewards, and strategic depth to the land ecosystem. It's the first time the team has introduced the land only cards. The main highlights from the Town hall were 54 cards with new land abilities, glint bomb, skin airdrops and mystery cards. All previous cards are mostly designed to focus on the battle strategies as they are meant to fight in battlefield but those new cards are created focusing on the improving land gameplay by improving the efficiency of the plots and also introduced a way for new players to earn Glints, exclusive skins and premium card variants. Those 54 unique cards are covering all bloodlines and splinters. Most of them a dual or multi splinter cards and also come with four brand new abilities. The players will also get the chance to participate in designing six mystery cards along with the Splinterlands team. Every pack contain the 10 cards and all cards are common rarity which is big change form the previous packs in game (as in past the their was 5 cards per pack and out of five cards one card was surely the rare or higher rarity). The special foil versions i.e Gold foil and Black foil will not be pulled directly from the packs as team has designed a different unique mechanics for same. All cards are to strengthen Praetoria through productivity, economics, and preparation rather than pure military force.

What is inside Packs

Packs are available under market tab on official Splinterlands site. Player may purchase with Credits, USD or DEC token. The purchase done with DEC token means player will get discount also so best way in my opinion is to purchase with DEC token only. Each pack will cost 2 USD and each pack will contain the 20 cards. As all cards are of common rarity and assuming that all will be having save value in market, each card worth 0.1 USD and this is also the price of most of the cards on market at present as you can check in below screenshot.

Total 250000 packs will be available for sale through out the July and yes no pre-sales this time.

In my view the Visions of Verico feels like much more than a simple land expansion. Its a new economic opportunities and better support for smaller landowners. The players have more opportunities to earn rewards and give reason to go beyond the traditional battlefield. For exciting or old players, it gives the chance to make their plots more profitable. I am planning to add some cards in my collection as well as on lands, maybe I will be able to make my plots profitable.

Following three Legendary Cards (form Neutral, Death and Water splinter) pulled form previous season loot chests. Kulu Matermind looks awesome and Drybone Raider looks dangerous. Waiting for Gold Foil Legendary.

Rental Earnings

Rental earning are not good as most of the cards has been moved to lands. This season the rental is almost zero. Card are more productive on lands in my opinion.

In last season earned56 DEC token as Rental Income using the Splex.gg.
