Moon Karts - Lets Explore the Game
Hello all Hive People & Play2Earn lovers,
Whenever I was exploring the posts on Hive in my feed many time I come across the blogs on web3 game Moon Kart and Colony token. I was knowing that the team behind the development of game is well known person on Hive i.e @aggroed . The Hive ecosystem is one of the best platform where the big developments and progress are happening in the play2earn area. A big portion of audience on Hive involved in those games, let it be game playing or blogging or vloging about the games. The game play award the players with the NFT token and game native token, on the other side the blogging and Vlog let them earn the Hive & HBD. Hope the price of Hive will be up and this will give another dimension to the games build on the Hive blockchain.
Lets come back to the Moon Kart. I have not explored the game but this was not surprised me that I am already holding the more then 25K Colony Token which is one of the native token of the Arcade Colony game project. The token I was holding were form the Airdrop happened in the past for the players holding the game assets of splinterlands game.
I was curios to know more about the project so I decided to go though the whitepaper of the game. What I come to know was very exciting. The Arcade Colony is a platform which give the new and excising developers to host their game on web3. Here I like to mentioned that when I says the existing games that means any web2 game can become a web3 game using the Arcade Colony. This is like a game store where you can find the different gams listed and play them and earn crypto token.
Any web2 game developer can can deploy web3 features using the Arcade Colony platform, they can add token, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. We can says that it is the game playstore or app store or steam but for the web3 games. So Moon Kart is one of the game listed here.
When I logged I say some games listed i.e. were SPLINTERLANDS, MOON KARTS, STAKEHOUSE DEN, GENESIS LEAGUE GOALS, ENABLE ALL. I clicked on the Moon Kart and then try the race. At first it took some time to load the gae environment (I do not know if it will take similar time every time, hope not so).
I landed to the below page when I clicked on the race button.
It was looking like a sci-fi space ship screen. Love the graphics. There were so many things like Power ups, Tech Cards, Stats, Presets etc. Honestly I was not knowing anything about all those.
I thought to give a try so clicked on the start race option. Immediately get the below response.
I checked if I have any pack in my wallet but unfortunately it was empty.
I make my mind to purchase the pack so that I can try the game, but unfortunately the official page of game shows that its Sold Out.
When I checked the pack (CENTAURI) on the Hive-engine the packs are trading at 19.99 Hive per pack, that was more then my estimate price.
Then I checked the shop page of the game, to get the idea of game NFT's price. Their were two foil variant and four rarity of the NFT's. The minimum price of the normal foil card was 0.09 USD.
Similarly when i checked the gold foil the the minimum price of Gold foil was 0.99 USD, which was 10 times the normal foil card.
To start the game play I need the NFT cards and either I can buy packs or can directly purchase the NFT cards form the market. I guess purchasing the cards will be good option to start the game, But I love to try my luck for pack opening also.
