In this post, we will be giving you some posts curated by @brofi that caught our attention. We are not quantity but quality based humour, weird knowledge, diversity, project updates and we don't mind lengthy posts at all, however, we are looking for more than just words.
You earn the BRO curation by holding bro, the more you have, the more you get. Still, we look out for quality and not shit posts. Holding Bro doesn't guarantee you votes if you do not give quality material. Without further delay, in no particular order, here are some posts that caught our eye over the past week:
In 2023, Japan recorded 2,678 traffic fatalities. With a population of 124.9 million, this equates to a fatality rate of about 2.14 deaths per 100,000 people. I'd say this is still a pretty gruesome number, but it is one of the lowest globally.
In the same year, the US recorded 40,990 traffic fatalities. With a population of 339.9, this gives us a fatality rate of 12.1 deaths per 100,000 people. Considerably worse than Japan. This isn't the highest globally, but it is at the upper-end.
Zelenogorsk is a small resort town located less than an hour's drive (50 km by train) from St.Petersburg. Its former name which I prefer, Terijoki, in original Finnish simply means 'Tar River'. It is located on the northern shore of the Finnish Bay of the Baltic Sea, which means it is part of the World Ocean... although of course one can not see here nor salty sea water, neither crabs or starfish or corals.
So, the tldr is that researchers from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) have developed a fascinating tool to check if milk has gone bad. And all you need to have is a smart phone.
Before I read the actual press release my first guess was that it would use some advanced camera hocus pocus or something that would recognize discoloration or whatever that the human eye can't... see...
But here's the even more fascinating and ingenious part.
The testing can be done without opening the container...wtf? How would that even work!
So here's the quick gist.
If you are a daily Hive user and interact and post content on this blockchain, then you must have heard about the recent mega collaboration between Inleo and Dash already. This can be a huge leap towards user onboarding because we all know how big Dash blockchain and its community are. In spite of being an old and trusted project, Hive’s user base is not increasing as expected and I think this collaboration may help Hive greatly in this aspect. So in this post, I will be talking about this collab and how it will be helping both blockchain communities. So if you are interested, let's take a dive without any further ado.
This will create some more noise and potentially increase the brand awareness, while combining something pleasant (aren't we all happy when our content is being liked-loved?)
We could also create some cool graphics to create merch!
Anyways this idea is still in its infantry, and I will probably need some motivation and some extra ideas (or support by other creators here) to make it bigger.
For now, I decided to create a series of videos and post them in my web2 accounts.
I had recently learned this lesson and as I happen to get mid age, I realized that this can be pretty difficult experience to live with. Like you understand that you are surrounded with people with different opinion and they are not going to like what you say and do. Which is something you learn from experience.
For example, I recently had the different political party support in the conversation. And I was more growth oriented argument for the support. And realized that what I like is not what other people like. And the growth is personal for each people and their life.
From a daughter’s point of view, I say that parents should not hide their financial situation from their children. Not like they should exaggerate and instill fear of losing money in them, but to make them understand and get prepared for the world at large. I say that because my mom included me in every decision we made in the house, from feeding to spending, and this enhanced my knowledge. Granted, I would argue with her when I thought she was being too frugal but then with time, I began to experience it for myself. That is why we were children. We would fight but then we would learn.
