Pencil Power: Creating a Beautiful Drawing

Hello DIYhubbers how are you all doing? I’m thrilled to be part of this community. A community where I can learn new crafts, hacks and improve my skills. It’s been such a wonderful experience.

To some people, they are just sharing their works, while to others, it’s a privilege to learn from these craftsmen. A lot of time, the tutorials of Hiveans of this community come in handy for most of us.

I haven’t been able to draw for a few weeks as I have been swamped with work. Drawing for me means 100% attention, hence my reason for taking a pause.

I was free today and I was able to finally draw.

I made a drawing of the back view of a girl holding flowers and making a peace sign.

Here are the materials and a step-by -step tutorial on how I made this drawing:

Materials
Sketch pad
2H pencil
4B pencil
Eraser
Black pen

Procedure

Step 1:
I started by drawing the girl's head, paying attention to the size of her head. I didn’t want her head to be too big or too small.

Step 2:
I proceeded to draw her both hands with each facing different directions. I also drew part of her crop top.

Step 3:
I completed her crop top making sure it was visible enough.

Step 4:
I drew her pants. I highlighted the pockets and stitches in the pants.

Step 5:
Impressed by how far I had gone, I moved on to draw her fingers and the flower she was holding.

Step 6:
I shaded her hair and used my 4B pencil to add depth to my drawing.

Step 7:
After using my pencil and making corrections I used my black pen to make my drawing more realistic and defined. In no time my drawing was completed!
