Hello lovely and creative hivers, welcome to my blog.
It gives me great pleasure to have you stop by, as I share my creative process with you guys, and today I will be sharing with us the making process of the jumpsuit I made for my niece.
Image edited using canva
Children are great gifts to us parents, and the joy they bring when they come into our world knows no bounds, my little niece is an adorable little girl and has been with me for the summer break, she always pays keen interest whenever I'm making new dresses, particularly when I cut that I wonder if she knows what I'm doing.π
During one of my sewing sessions, I promised to make her a jumpsuit,
I've been very busy with my workload lately which has made me not fulfill my promise in a while, I feel bad about it, and you know children don't forget when you promise them something, it's better to not tell them and just surprise them, so they don't have to remind you constantly. I'm glad I'm able to fulfill this promise of mine finally and put a smile on my niece's face.
Materials/Tools used
Scissors, tape rule, and my sewing machine
Cutting and Sewing Process
Step 1
I started by drafting and cutting out the upper part of the jumpsuit for both front and back alongside its facing for turning the necklines
Step 2
I drafted and cut out the lower part of the jumpsuit, it is a trouser pattern
Step 3
I joined the upper front to the lower front trouser part and also did the same to the back
Step 4
I Joined both front and back by the shoulders, also turned the necklines, and using a strip of the fabric in folds, I made box pleats around the armhole.
Step 5
Finally, I joined the front and back by the sides and crotch area, adding a zipper at the back, elastic around the hem, and glittering trimming around the waistline.
My little niece's jumpsuit is ready.
Tada! β¨
Lovely, isn't it? This process is quite easy to follow with a little knowledge of sewing, you could recreate this design.
Do you admire this design, please leave your thoughts in the comment section, its always exciting to read them, and they help keep me encouraged.

It looks perfect on this lovely little girl! I'm amazed at how the flower design cut but combined well upon sewing! Great output @glorydee

Children are indeed special and I can imagine the beautiful smile on the little angel's face when you gave her the clothes.
You did a great job as usual with the jumpsuit, the process was detailed.
Well done @glorydee

These are DIVINE, dear @glorydee !! What a gorgeous design, and I hope it might be easy to copy like you say - I would LOVE a pair like this: I will look at it carefully and see if I can find a good fabric for it... Just wonderful!
Hi friend, have you heard about the Needleworkmonday community, I'm sure you will learn a lot more there and you will do well if you make good posts. your dress is beautiful.
I popped in from #dreemport
I followed up with the pictures and the process looks simple.
But trying to do it myself with this process will embarrass my life π
You know one funny thing is that my mom is a tailor and i have always been in her shop since i was little and i could sow.
I can press the machine and aline the cloth well but i can cut the material.
well, now i can only amend cloth but when i was 15 year old i could sow heeheheheheh
