What Surprised Me About Staying

When I joined Hive, I didn't expect to love it this way. I was expecting to tolerate it just like how I tolerate a new routine, maybe useful, but definitely not something I feel anything about. But along the way, it was totally a different story, and I didn't get to realize it at first until later on.

Here on Hive, I have been given that chance to always show up constantly even when some things around me felt inconsistent. The earning isn't left out. But that is not what has kept me going. The quiet satisfaction of building something that compounds, yes, that is what keeps me coming back here. My HP that I have been growing slowly since last year, April. The interview connection I have made with some eyewitnesses and all my posts, all these have added to something that actually belonged to me.

On this platform, I have met with people who push back on ideas, people who think seriously, and those with whom we celebrate our wins together without any iota of jealousy. This type of community or platform is very rare to come across, especially online, where all what some people do is to compare, hate, and poison minds slowly.

Here, there is genuineness and honesty, and I love that. My effort is being rewarded in a way. I come here, create my post, engage with others, and the platform slowly responds over time. This is hardly seen just anywhere, and it is not small.
