Let’s talk money. Let’s talk censorship. Let’s talk Web2. The foundation of rules and protocols that govern your activities. Rules that may even end up destroying all you have worked so hard to build. Daily, new policies are put in place to control content and feed the masses with what “should” be important.

Social media started as a means for connections, networking is more like it. However, it has moved steadily from bring people together to controlling them. Then, we are able to make money from doing the one thing that we speak against and that is manipulation.

Not like I’m saying Web2 is the devil’s spawn. However, when we look at how far the world has come, the benefits we are enjoying today and the perks we have, I guess we have every good reason to give web2 the side eye.

Because check this out. I met someone who I told that I earned $50 from a video I made on 3Speak with less than 1k following plus, it was one of my early ones. They couldn’t believe it. They felt I was exaggerating and not forthcoming with the whole truth. I didn’t blame them. It’s so mind blowing the opportunities that surround us but we overlook.

Now. Let’s talk Hive. Let’s talk decentralisation. Let’s talk Web3.

Long ago I quit writing for famous names in the publishing industry because I could not take them trying to censor me to fit a specific image. People were moving at a rapid pace to fit the world they’d created. I was having none of that.

I found Hive not long after and was more interested in reaping the rewards. But, more time on Hive made me realize that if I played my cards right, if I was a game changer, I could change things for me. That assurance alone gave me the boost I needed.

Did I ever tell you that doing what you love and making money from it is the best way to live? Maybe I have. I used to do it writing for big names until they tried to put a cap on my words. Then I found Hive and the biggest discovery for me would be decentralisation.

Hive offers you massive advantages, more than you know. The only thing is you need to play those cards right. No one owns Hive. Yes, there is politics on Hive but what big space does with no power play? The more you have, the more you’re known. It’s like Yin and Yang. Negative and Positive.

The first beautiful thing about Hive is your entitlement to your voice. You have the right to speak and be heard (or read in this case). You have full ownership and control of your content. That’s insane. Many don’t know how much of a privilege this is. It’s such a great thing to earn while being a nobody in a space with no names and yet, moving all the way to the top. Like I said in the beginning, play those cards right.

I don’t think we say it enough that Hive is a place where anything can happen. I mean look at me. If you know how I started, you know that this did not just start rolling in a day. Getting involved can never be a mistake. Of course, there’ll be a couple of whining here and there but the fact remains that getting involved is never a mistake.

Hive as a name and crypto is a movement that people should get involved with now. Yes it’s been boring with the price of Hive but is it ever boring “on” Hive? Activities daily. So many things you could do. Many things to explore. Hive is my favorite not only for the monetary benefits. You see, Hive is a game changer.

We may not be popular or on the map but we have an undeniable weapon and that is our ecosystem. Like I said, it’s all about playing your cards right. I keep saying this again. I remember seeing a tweet from a Hiver that said “Take Hive as a business…”

I believe that says it all. When you look beyond Hive being a source of income and see it as an opportunity to build, your view changes. Your approach turns around and the result will always be different.
