A Finger Marked for Continuous Change: My Voting Day Experience

The election of the members of the House of Representatives, governors, vice-governors, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial board members), mayors, vice-mayors, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod members of the Sangguniang Bayan (city/municipal councilors) yesterday was a success. It was a victory for us that are hoping for a change. As a living citizen here for 22 years, I can say that we really need a big change. And it only happens after a beautiful Mayor defeated a long term man promised for a change. Yesterday was her second victory. We choose her again to rule our hometown. Because she made a lot of changes and improvement in her first term. While our barangay captain wanted to control our votes. Because he wanted to bring back the long term Mayor that we can say did nothing. But people are uncontrollable! We want something strong for the future. The majority of our heart unites and made a deserving victory.

I planned to give my vote after lunch, but my husband called and he said that I need to check what prescient number he is. So I took a bath and headed to the school. And here's what I found, all hated the pictures posted LoL. I went to the room but I didn't expect the long line! It was the first time that I needed to wait for this long. They said that only two rooms are working. I wanted to go home because I didn't bring any water or a fan. But my husband said that I was already there so what's the reason for going home.

It was so hot that day, but we didn't talk about politics. It's like a normal day. In the waiting area outside the classroom there are electric fans. My back already dried up and my son brought me cold water and a fan.

I didn't expect that smartphones would be allowed that day. The senators that I voted for were the senators that mom and aunt voted for.

I'm proud to say that I voted for this Mayor. My social media was filled with empathy and happiness.
