A Heartwarming Cousins Reunion: Our Long-Awaited Special Get-Together Over Dinner at S&R

Hello my dear fellow hivers in this beautiful @hiveph community! here I am again, "LJ" and welcome to my blog where I share my wonderful experiences about life.

Last January, my cousin Shaira and Janine, together with Janine's husband and their little daughter Amarah, visited us here in Legazpi City. Janine and her family are now based in Manila, while Shai lives here in Legazpi with their Mom. Since it had been such a long time since we last saw each other, we decided to meet up at SM Legazpi for a simple yet meaningful get-together.

When we arrived at the mall, Shaira and Janine's family were already there, waiting for us with big smiles on their faces. The moment felt warm and nostalgic, like no time had passed, even though years had gone by. We wanted to give Amarah a little something special, so we went to "Broadway Gems" to pick out a cute gift for her. To our surprise, they had also brought something for my son, Reygan, a box of "Krispy Kreme" donuts. It was such a sweet gesture, and Reygan's face lit up with excitement as he accepted the treat.

Janine suggested that we have dinner at S&R, which was conveniently located inside the mall. It was a perfect choice since it gave us time and space to sit down, relax, and truly catch up. Over plates of pizza, salad, burger steak and chicken, the stories began to flow, updates about work, life in Manila, Shai's experiences here in Legazpi, and of course, the joys and challenges of raising kids.

What made the evening more special was watching our children play and laugh together while we reminisced about our own childhood memories. It felt surreal to see how life had changed. Back then, we were the little kids running around during family gatherings, and now here we were as parents, watching the next generation create their own happy moments.

There was so much laughter and a few emotional moments as we remembered the times we used to spend at our grandparents' house during holidays. Life had taken us in different directions, new cities, new families, and new responsibilities, but that night reminded us that family ties remain strong no matter the distance or time apart.

As we said our goodbyes after dinner, we promised to make these reunions happen more often. The evening may have been simple, but the happiness it brought was priceless.

It was not just a dinner, it was a reminder that family is a constant source of love and joy, even as life continues to change around us. Family always hold a special place in our hearts and no one can ever erase that.
