First Steps to the Summit: My Mt. Labawan Adventure 🥾⛰️

Once upon a time, a day in my life as a hiker who have found another newly found mountain to Hike. Help me welcome you all, featuring Mount Labawan located in Barangay Cabulao, Mabini Bohol. Since the location is a bit far from my hometown so my classmates and I woke up early in the morning around 3am and then we travelled 32.5 kilometers to reach our destination.

Talking about the Mountain, are you familiar with the TAPP (The Alicia Panoramic Park)? the one that I have shared in my blog last January 22, so this mountain why it is called "Labawan"? it's because from the root word "Labaw" which means it surpasses the TAPP which was located in Alicia and that was a story that I have heard from one of our tour guide during our hike in Alicia Panoramic Park.

Back in track, as you can see in the top photo where a cute little girl in black and a guy in a gray shirt ~ that is my "lunch buddies" actually we aren't complete, since one of our buddy isn't into hike so only the three of us. And our journey starts here from the bottom of this mountain, the only steps that can make us move forward ~ is the step of our starting point. And, I was also with one of my classmates who is into hike as well.

As our journey begin, the sunrise is fast approaching and it is just amazing as it is. I loved sunrise so much that it ignites my inner being and became even more for an exciting journey today.

After almost an hour of walk from bottom to here, we can already see the beauty of Mt. Labawan in every corner and it is the best feeling to be here in the middle of the mountain, surrounded by it's beauty.

Upon reaching the first top we stopped for a photo opportunity, featuring the mountainous surrounding. As you can see here, the view is really eye catching and it mesmerizes me.

We had our group picture here since as we reach the middle top which is quiet higher we decided to maybe we will go on our own, and here we are the 3rd year Computer Science student who wants to explore the world away from computers and numbers.

As we have reached the middle top, this was our view and because of having no rain for almost a year now so this is the result there was a grass fire yet as you can see the serenity is still there, the beauty and it's characteristics is still present.

And finally we have arrived in our third stop and this was already almost at the top of this Mountain. I was amazed as I have arrived here first since they we're still busy for photoshoot in the bottom, I saw this small shelter here maybe it was created for the reason of growing this corn fields, WOW can u imagine?

And in front of these shelter that was built for the purpose of taking care of all the corns has this tall trees that they planted, and it is so beautiful and very useful to cover the too much heat of the weather to the surroundings since only few trees we're planted here.

Just me myself and I in awe of this stunning beauty of God's amazing creation. I enjoyed myself sitting in the stone while meditating on it and having this opportunity to be here away from crowd makes me humble myself even more.

Going down, I saw this tree, it caught my attention, so rare of this kind. Imagine the dead twigs that surrounds while the inner part is alive and stunningly green. I am super amazed, this is so rare, it's my first time seeing this.

And while going down I asked Fe to take me a photo, because this time I changed my shir since my back were very wet. For one last time going down after an amazing journey, still looking fresh and beautiful :)
And then so vice versa, she asked me too to have a selfie and that is Jules in our back.

And the best part, I just so loved the view that I can't still moved on after how many click of this photo. As I am about to end my today's story I am beyond grateful to God because of this opportunity, also to my colleague for being with me, especially those who took pictures of me. I have truly learned that there is more that we can explore as long as we open our eyes to opportunities and have this courage to step out of our comfort zone.

PS: After three days of our hike, it was declared "temporarily closed" because they are still processing requirements as per requested by the DENR.

For sure, there will be a entrance fee and tour guide fee. So, I am super blessed that I was able to experience it just for free and for the very first time.
