Hello my dear Hivers of the @hiveph. I Hope you all well and safe.
Last Saturday, we went out for a grocery. We also took it as a time to just stroll around the market.

It happened that a day before Saturday, the barangay we went to had their fiesta. So there were cottages made for each purok. And all of it looks beautiful.

On the side was a cottage that sells vegetables. There were lots of it looking so fresh. There were also some fruits.

There were corns displayed also. Actually in our town now, the corns starting to bear fruit but can't still be eaten. Maybe, this barangay planted earlier compare to to farmers in our town.

What caught my attention most is a cute miniature house. I thought it's just for a display. It has a word "Agusan" written on it's roof. Agusan is our province.

I really find it interesting. The color and the design just looks amazing to me. When I looked at it closely, I saw a small hole. It's actually an Alkansya. It's a Filipino word for coin bank.

I'd like to buy it but it's not included in my weekly budget so may be next time.

We continued walking and I saw some "dabong" or bamboo shoots. These are my favorite. And since we really went there to do groceries, I bought 2 packs. We cooked it for dinner that night.

This is one of the things I enjoyed when doing a grocery. I see things I don't usually see in a day. It makes my day eventful and memorable.

When I come there next time, I hope the coin bank is still there. So could buy it for myself. But, if ever it's not there anymore, then may be it's really not for me.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!

Super cute! I really wanted to bring it home 😄
Unique alkansya! I love it, that's my first time seeing that kind of coin bank.
The one who made that must be a talented one.

STOPWhat a cute house-shaped coin bank! I just wonder if the coins and paper bills won’t get damaged if they’re kept inside for a long time. I’ve seen some wooden coin banks before that ended up damaging the coins and especially the paper bills after being stored for years. But I guess it really depends on the temperature of the place where you’ll keep it.
I also wish that during our town fiesta this coming December, there would be events like that too. I mean, they once organized a Bahay Kubo-themed setup per barangay, but it was only for a contest. They didn’t actually use it for selling food or anything like that.
The cottages for each purok were reallt creative! The fruits and vegetables looks fresh too. The alkansya was so amazing! You can see the effort and creativity of the artist that made it.💗
