Hello everyone!
Today, I want to share another simple story from my everyday life. Every day, I try to prepare different food and snacks for my family. It may look simple, but for me, preparing food is one of the ways I show my love for them.

In the morning, I boiled some bananas for our morning snack. We just got the bananas from our farm, so I was happy that we had something fresh to eat. I really love having food from our own farm. It feels good knowing that we can get some of our food from the place we work and take care of.

By lunchtime, I prepared mangoes with alamang. The mangoes were given to us by my sister-in-law. I also bought some alamang from her because she sells it. Hehe! My sister-in-law is really a businesswoman. She is always finding ways to earn, and of course, we also need to support her business. Even in our own little ways, we can help each other in the family.

In the afternoon, I decided to fry some bananas and make lumpia.

First, I prepared all the ingredients. I had carrots, onion, garlic, and tauge. I also added monggo and cheese. For the oil, I used the fatty part of the pork that we had. I like using it because it gives the oil more flavor.

While I was preparing and wrapping the lumpia, I suddenly had many thoughts.

I realized again how much I have sacrificed for my family, especially for my father and my brother. There are many things I could be doing, but right now, my heart is here with them.

Taking care of family is not always easy. Sometimes, I get tired. Sometimes, I also miss doing other things. But when I think about my father and brother, I just continue.

My father is recovering from a stroke. He has difficulty speaking and he cannot walk yet. As his daughter, it is painful for me to see him like this. I always hope and pray that one day, he will become stronger and recover fully.

I know recovery takes time. For now, I just want to be there for him as much as I can.
After I finished wrapping the lumpia, I fried them. When they were ready, I let my family taste them. Seeing them enjoy the food I made gave me a simple but happy feeling.

For me, this is already a kind of fulfillment.
I may not be able to give my family everything they want, but I can give them my time, my effort, and my love through these simple things.
Since I still had some extra wrapped ingredients, I decided to make turon too. And guess who helped me? My four-year-old daughter!

She helped me with the wrapping. Of course, she is still young, so her wrapping is not perfect. Sometimes it is a little messy, hehe. But I am happy because she is slowly learning how to help me.
I appreciate that even at four years old, she already understands that she can help in small ways.

Life may be difficult sometimes, but these simple moments remind me that I am blessed.
As long as my family is together, we have food to share, and we can still smile together, I am already thankful.

Oh, it would be great to get adopted by your family—there's so much food, plus someone who’s diligent about cooking! Haha.
Stay strong for your family; your dad will definitely get better because you're there supporting them.
