Accompanying My Brother to His Follow-Up Checkup and Buying Medicines for the Family

Hello everyone!

Love your brothers and sisters with all your heart because, in this life, they can be your supporters and companions during difficult times. We may have our own families and responsibilities, but when one of our siblings needs us, we try our best to be there.

Yesterday, I accompanied my older brother to his follow-up checkup and X-ray at the hospital. We wanted to know if his right tibia fracture was already properly aligned after his operation. As his sister, I was hoping for good results because I wanted to see him recover and return to his normal activities. Like farming and serving God.

Sometimes, the challenges we face in life make our relationship as siblings stronger. We learn to understand each other better, especially when one of us needs help and support.

We left the mountain early in the morning to travel to Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital. Along the way, I saw beautiful roads, green surroundings, and fresh air. The cold breeze made our trip comfortable, and the scenery was beautiful. It was the kind of place where you would want to stop, take pictures, and enjoy nature.

But I noticed that my brother was quiet. Maybe he had many things on his mind because of his condition and recovery. I knew he was praying silently and hoping that everything would be okay. Sometimes, when we are worried, we cannot fully appreciate the beauty around us because our minds are focused on our problems.

When we arrived at the hospital, there were already many patients because it was Monday and many people had scheduled checkups. Thankfully, we arrived early and got ahead in the line. I also appreciated how punctual the doctors were at Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital. If their schedule says 8:00 AM, you can sometimes see them in their departments as early as 7:45 AM.

Before the consultation, my brother had his blood pressure, temperature, and weight checked. Our neighbor, who came with us, also had her blood sugar checked.

I felt happy and relieved when we know that my brother's results were okay. Now, he needs to do his daily exercises as advised and help himself recover. I hope he continues to get better every day.

Honestly, going to the hospital is not always easy. Even if the consultation is free, we still need to buy some medicines. These expenses can be heavy on our pockets, but we keep going because our family's health is important. I also buy some of our personal medicine I feel my head and back pain, so much stress everyday. I go to pharmacy buy some of food supplements like Mx3 coffee and capsule, buy some medicine of cough, fever and vitamins of the kids.

As his sister, I am happy that I could accompany him on this important day. I cannot take away all his worries, but I can support him and pray for his recovery.

Life is full of challenges, but having a family that helps and understands us makes things a little easier. I pray that my brother will continue to recover and become stronger every day.

Love your siblings while you have the chance to be with them. Family is not only there to celebrate our happiness but also to share our worries and help us stand again during difficult times.
