Dieses hier ist mein erster Beitrag des Jahres zum Beersaturday und das obwohl Bier für mich schon fast ein "Hobby" ist.

Eigentlich wollte ich nur im Januar keinen Alkohol trinken und somit einen Dry-January begehen. Da ich im Januar auch sehr auf die Ernährung geachtet habe, habe ich festgestellt, das mir das körperlich enorm gut getan hat und somit habe ich den Februar auch noch ohne Alkohol verbracht.

Mittlerweile beschwert meine Frau sich, das ich zu dünn werde, also konnte ich auch wieder Bier zu mir nehmen.

Ein bisschen etwas war auch noch im Haus zu finden und meine Wahl fiel dann auf das La Blanche von der Brasserie Du Mont Blanc.

Dieses Bier habe ich bei unserem letzten Kurztrip nach Disneyland bzw. Paris mitgenommen.

Bei dem Bier handelt es sich um ein Witbier, was dem deutschen Weizen- oder Weißbier nahe kommt. Allerdings ist es mit einer anderen Hefesorte gebraut und man vermisst (oder auch nicht) den typischen Bananengeschmack.

Leichtes Mont Blanc-Weißbier belgischen Typs, erfrischend und elegant, mit feiner Perlage. Die süßen Weizennoten gehen der säuerlichen und zitrusartigen Frische der Orange voraus, mit einer würzigen Schlussnote. Blanche du Mont Blanc ist das Ergebnis einer Mischung aus drei Getreidesorten (Weizenmalz, Gerstenmalz und Hafer) und einem Aromahopfen, die durch feinbittere Orangenschale und eine Koriandernote verfeinert wird.

Im Glas ist das Bier trübe und hat eine leicht orangene Farbe. Die Schaumkrone ist sehr grobporig und löst sich schnell auf. Das finde ich persönlich immer sehr Schade, da ein Bier mit einer schönen Krone halt einfach schöner aussieht.

In dem Geschmack finde ich Teile der Beschreibung wieder. Es hat einige Gemeinsamkeiten mit dem klassischen deutschen Weizenbier. Fruchtige Noten erkenne ich aber nicht so sehr heraus. Lediglich die bittere Note der Orangenschale kommt im Abgang deuglich zuf Geltung.

Fazit

Bei unserem Ausflug nach Frankreich meine ich festgestellt zu haben, dass in Bistros und in Geschäften belgisches Bier dominiert. Allerdings schmeckte mir das jetzt probierte " La Blanche" außerordentlich gut und ich würde es hederzeit wieder gerne trinken.

I drank that beer quite a few times in France and really liked it. It was one of my favorite French beers. That Brewery has an Amber beer as well that I liked.
