It's Saturday, which means it's #beersaturday, not that you need an excuse to drink a beer of course! Today though is a new beer for a new year.
Oh no it's not! It's Sunday!!
Well in my defence, it was Saturday when I started this post, but heyho life happens and so it is Sunday that I actually finish and release this post!
I think it all stems from an intense new physio session that started on Thursday. It will be every Thursday for 11 more weeks. It is in Dunfermline which means a 1 hour and 20 minute bus ride there and the same back, which is actually quite cool as I got a heap of work done whilst being undisturbed!
So when I got home, there was only one beer that fitted the bill....

Hehe yeah I was in a fierce fighting mood! Well not sure about any of that, my legs still ache a wee bit!
Turns out the session is being run by one of the female physios that took my hydro sessions!
She is a Scouser and had no qualms in pushing me 🤣
This is not the first time I have drunk this beer from the Scottish Fierce Brewery

But it is a beer that you will not find on their website!
Why not?
Well it is produced for the supermarket Aldi, is why!

You’ll likely get a "punch in the face" of tropical aromas—think mango, pineapple, and a bit of citrus peel is what gemini tells us!

It pours with a nice wee froth foam, not too much and not too little

The cans are pretty cool.
Red of course is the colour of Aberdeen football club, where the brewery is from.
As a fan of Rangers back in the 80s and 90s I was invlovled in quite a few bloody battles with their fans both in Aberdeen and Glasgow. The good old days where you could live in a non PC Karen world!
Whilst on the bus home, I ordered a Chinese delivery from our favourite restaurant!
Can you guess the food in the there @asiaymalay ?

Can you see it hiding in the corner..

The Basics
The Style: It is a New England Double IPA (NEDIPA). This means it has the high alcohol content of a Double IPA but the "cloudy," smooth, and juicy characteristics of the New England style.
The ABV: At 7.4%, it is significantly stronger than your average pint. In the craft beer world, anything over 7% usually moves into the "Double" or "Imperial" category.
The ALDI Connection: This beer was actually brewed as part of an exclusive collaboration for ALDI's Scottish Beer Festival. Fierce Beer (from Aberdeen) often partners with ALDI to bring high-end craft beer to the shelves at a more affordable price.

Appearance
The Pour: It pours a deep, opaque golden-orange.
The "Cloud": True to its name, it has a heavy, permanent haze (thanks to the oats and wheat used in the mash). It should have a thick, creamy white head that lingers.
Aroma (The "Nose")
Tropical Punch: As soon as you crack the can, you should get hit with a "fruit salad" of scents.
Key Notes: Look for mango, pineapple, and ripe tangerine. There is a slight underlying hint of pine and zesty lime that cuts through the sweetness.
Flavour Profile
The First Sip: It’s an explosion of stone fruit—think peach and nectarine.
The Middle: It has a "juice-like" quality. Because it's a New England style (hazy), the bitterness is low and smooth rather than sharp.
The Finish: You’ll notice a "boozy" warmth toward the end—that’s the 7.4% talking! It leaves a pithy, zesty citrus aftertaste that isn't too dry.
Mouthfeel
Pillowy & Full: This isn't a thin or watery beer. It feels "thick" and velvety on the tongue, which makes it feel very substantial.

Fluffing smooth and I enjoyed it, talk about tasty! It is punchy and that fruit hits you as soon as you open the can and pour the beer!
And as it has a 7.4% ABV once you finish that first can you do realise you have had a drink!
The second can was with the Chinese food and to be honest it went equally well or without food.
The 7.4% was a pleasant strength, and at £2.19 a can, it was very good value!

Yes, I am. Thank you.
I've never been a beer drinker, but do enjoy ready about your experiences, but now I want Chinese food, lol.
hehe you are not the only one more interested in what I eat than the beer 😂
Enjoy Burn's night! I just read up the fellow, he had one hell of a sex drive. Twelve children, although less than half survived!
The beer and food looked awesome. The beverage had a nice kick with that ABV, nice! I hope things aren't too cold over there these days, and you're getting some sun. A little vitamin D is good for you!
Auld Lang Syne, you must have heard that sung at New Year ... that was him ... oh he was a right dirty bastard, shagged anything that moved!
Sun haha not seen that for at least a week, it has been grey cold windy, so please send me some sun my friend!
