Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to another edition of the Caturday update! As we all know, Saturday you means Caturday, and Caturday is that day of the week where we all get to post pictures of our Feline friends!
Shangri, with a favorite toy!
In this case, it is my blog, so I get to prod my Hooman into posting pictures of me and my fellow feline housemates!
This weekend, we are keeping the Dad-Hooman busy because he's home alone while the Mom-Hooman has gone to Seattle to visit the Daughter-Hooman, whom we are not going to see for this Thanksgiving holiday.
Hanging out with Smudge
The Daughter-Hooman and her husband have their own life now, and they are going to spend Thanksgiving with his parents instead. Besides, the Daughter-Hooman is pregnant and expecting a baby in the spring, so the Mom-Hooman likes to visit regularly to offer emotional support.
It's a caring family we have here!
We are running around being crazy kitties playing and having "Crazy Kitty Hour" all through the house, but I fear we might be getting in trouble with the Mom-Hooman because we did tear a hole in one of her curtains. The Dad-Hooman warned us that she would not be pleased about this, now he has closed the door to the bedroom to keep us from playing in there anymore.
But you can't really blame us for having enthusiasm…. Can you?
Although I do love Shangri and Nala and the new energy they have brought to our place, I blame them for any ongoing accidents because they're young and stupid and don't know that some of the Hooman things can break. At least I intend to tell the Mom-Hooman that it was their fault that there's a RIP in the curtain!
Meanwhile, aforesaid kittens are now playing on one of our kitty jungle gyms where one of the Mom-Hooman's cheap homemade toys is turning out to be the greatest invention ever!
Young cats at play!
I'm OK with them being able to play with each other for long stretches of time... without involving me or Smudge. Although I do like to play with them, I am 8 years old and not quite as filled with youthful enthusiasm as they are!
Sometimes, I'd just as well be left alone with my OWN sunny spot!
Meanwhile, the Dad-Hooman and I are feeling cautiously optimistic about the fact that it seems like our Hive token is actually on a somewhat consistent upswing... at least for the moment. I even saw 30-cent Hive, this afternoon... however briefly!
We're almost afraid of mentioning it in case it just all collapses again, like it almost always does, but these most recent rises seem to have held up pretty well.
Playtime sometimes ends as suddenly as it started
On a greater scale, I guess the world is holding its breath and waiting for the day when Bitcoin finally makes it to $100,000.
I do wonder whether it'll just keep going at that point or whether it's going to bounce around this limit for a number of years after it happens. Maybe it's a bit like breaking the sound barrier: once you do it it stops being a big deal then it takes quite a while before you severely start to push the envelope again.
Whatcha doin', there?
Maybe that's not the greatest comparison in the world, but it was all I could come up with on the fly.
Regardless, we seem to have navigated our way safely through this "bomb cyclone" that sat out in the Pacific Ocean off our coast and dumped immense amounts of rain on this place, along with occasionally damaging winds. Other places in the region were hit much worse than us...
Smudge as fluffcloud!
At least the turbulent weather seems to have died down and we have gotten as far as we have without losing electricity, which always makes the Dad-Hooman really frustrated!
He really should learn to take life as much in stride as we cats do! The whole "having to work" thing seems terribly over-emphasized!
Well, that's about all I have for this Caturday update... I need to get back to my nap while the kittens are still busy playing! Thanks for stopping by our little cat blog and we hope to see you again soon!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
