Hello Hives
I have always believed that one of the beautiful things about life is that we don't all see things the same way. Sometimes, the way we think is right might be completely different from what someone else considers normal. And honestly, I think this is one of the reasons we should learn to judge people less.

One thing I have come to understand is that people who have had the opportunity to travel and experience different cultures often become more open-minded. Not necessarily because they are better people, but because they have seen how differently people live their lives.
Think about it for a moment. Something that looks strange to you might be completely normal to someone else. In some places, people enjoy eating with their hands, while in other places, using cutlery is the usual thing. Some cultures encourage people to speak freely during meals, while others consider silence a sign of respect. There are even places where hugging someone you have just met is perfectly normal.
Now, who is right and who is wrong?
I think this is where many of us get it wrong. We sometimes believe that the way we were raised, the things we were taught and the traditions we grew up with are the only acceptable ways to live. Whenever someone does something differently, we are quick to criticize them.
But the truth is, the world is much bigger than our immediate environment.
You don't even have to travel to another country before you can learn this lesson. Sometimes, meeting people from different backgrounds, listening to their experiences and trying to understand their perspectives can change the way you see things.
I have also realised that we don't always have to agree with people before we can respect their choices. Someone can have a different opinion, lifestyle, religion or cultural background without necessarily being a bad person.
For me, that's what being open-minded is all about. Learning to understand before judging.
Life is too short to spend it believing that everybody must think, behave or live exactly like us. There is so much to learn from other people if only we can put our pride aside and listen.
Perhaps the world doesn't need everyone to think alike. Maybe it just needs us to respect our differences a little more.
