How I'd Convince An Early Sleeper To Stay Up At Midnight

Hello to y'all midnight owls. Itโ€™s currently 3:00 a.m. on my end, and Iโ€™ve been awake through the night, thinking about this weekโ€™s prompt, which asks how we would convince an early sleeper to stay awake at midnight.

Interestingly, Iโ€™ve been trying to become an early sleeper myself, so it feels a bit ironic to be writing a post about convincing someone not to sleep early, especially when thatโ€™s what I aspire to do. But I get it. Sometimes, it can be annoying to have someone who sleeps early every single day, especially on nights when you expect them to be awake. Personally, I used to think sleeping early was a habit owned by old people. I mean, everyone thinks so too, right? I just always felt that as a young person, it was more natural to be a night crawler than an early sleeper.

So, if I were to convince someone, letโ€™s say my former roommate back in the university, I would do it in the presence of our other mutual friends. I know itโ€™s easier for anyone to give in when there are several similar opinions flying around in the room. I would start with my usual joke along the lines of, โ€œYou sleep like a mother who has kids to prepare for school the next day.โ€ Iโ€™m sure this would tease her a little, especially when she hears others laughing lightly at the joke.

Once it turns into a topic of discussion, I would continue by telling everyone on my side that they're wasting her time talking because she can never prove me wrong. Iโ€™d even add that she would rather marry her bed and miss out on whatever plans we make than prove anyone wrong. This is a reverse tactic, of course, and I will use it on her because it would most likely give her a nudge to take up the challenge of staying awake for one night, just so she could counter my future teasings with proof.

Finally, Iโ€™d make up a tale about how old people who slept early every day in their younger years missed out on so much fun with their peers. Iโ€™d go on to recount fun memories and events our mutual friends and I had engaged in the previous midnights. I would share it with a lot of enthusiasm, in a way that she would become curious about what it feels like to stay up with us and have that kind of fun. At the point where I know her curiosity has kicked in deep, Iโ€™d then ask if she would like to stay awake with us that same night. Do I think she would say no? Of course not. Not after all that.

So yes, this is exactly how I would convince an early sleeper to stay awake at midnight with me, and Iโ€™m very certain my strategy would work.๐Ÿ™‚

Ahahaha nice convincing strategy.

But sleeping early is what I am even trying to learn , because I am a chronic night crawler and it's not really good always. In the other hand , sleeping early too often sounds boring.

In conclusion, everything should be in moderation.

My dear! Thank you.
I think that's the reason I first mentioned that sleeping early is a great habit that shouldn't need convincing to do otherwise before diving into my strategy. But I mean, the prompt is just for us to share our thoughts, not necessarily to keep the habit of crawling for the rest of our lives. Lol. Totally agree with your final submission. Thanks for reading my blog post.๐Ÿค—

What a strategy, Yechee! I see the reverse psychology. At this point, I'm only pitying myself the day you might decide to use this on me. I'd run oo.๐Ÿ˜…
It's a very convincing way, I consider. Especially when you chip in friends into the teasing, it works. I can just imagine the heavy enthusiasm you'd really be using. Well, she should be convinced.
I may need to start sleeping early too...๐Ÿฅฑ

Haha. I'm glad you know I'll use the same tactics for you if we happen to spend time with each other at night.๐Ÿ˜‚ It's great if you choose to settle into the habit of sleeping early on most days. Your older self will thank you. But for now, you remain a midnight owl.๐ŸŒ›

I knew it. Like I said, I'd run.๐Ÿ˜…
Yeah, I reckon with that. It's good we consider the future in a way as we do our midnight exploits. Thanks for bringing this to mind. You're right, for now I remain a midnight owl. ๐Ÿฆ‰
