A very funny occurrence at work // Midnight Letters Prompt #16 //

Hello, Night Owls. I'm here to share a recent funny occurrence that happened at work this week that made me laugh hard at myself. I welcome you all to my blog, stay tuned, and make sure you don't pee on your body while laughing.

So, on Wednesday, I got dressed up for work using my favorite belt to give my clothing more fitting. It was a busy Wednesday at work, and I was just moving from one office to another, getting things sorted out before closure. All through the movements, I didn't notice anything about my belt leaving its proper position.

It was time for lunch, the aroma filled the whole place, and I was just waiting to get mine so as to devour it. I got my food and reached for my belt to adjust so that my food could go down well, but the belt had disappeared from my waist. I became confused as to how the belt came off without me noticing.

I visited all the places I had gone to just in case the belt fell there but there was nothing. I informed the cleaners, and they said they found nothing. I asked my colleagues, and some weren't sure I had a belt on when I came in, but I kept insisting that I had my belt on. It was just one person who confirmed that she saw me on belt earlier, and she noticed because the belt was beautiful.

I wasn't happy anymore, in fact I lost appetite for the food. I was shocked at myself as to how a grown-up like me would lose a belt from her waist without knowing. "What would I tell my husband that got the belt for me?" I thought.

I accepted that I had misplaced the belt so as to move on. I decided to use the ladies before leaving the office. When I pulled up, the resounding laughter from there got everyone surprised and wondering what happened.

The belt fell inside my clothes below my waistline, and I was busy looking for it and stressing my brain trying to figure out where it must have dropped. When I stepped out and showed them the belt, everyone laughed. Mine was so hard that I felt the hard knot in my tummy. It was such a funny experience that made everyone laugh. 😃 😀
