Park Halfed

I believe that every city has its heart, that place that is the postcard, the landmark that everyone knows, and in my city, that place is Halfed Park. It's nothing more than a wooded area right in the middle of the city center, a whole block with trees and space for people to stroll around or even sit on some of the many benches scattered around.

This was the first time I had taken my drone up to fly over the park and I found that the leaves on the trees didn't allow me to film much from below, but it was a very interesting perspective nonetheless. And while I was at it, I took the opportunity to take some photos of the city's famous school. It was interesting to be able to do this today, since Sunday is a slow day here in the center, and it would be impossible to take off on a weekday during business hours. Acredito que toda cidade possui seu coração, aquele lugar que é o cartão-postal, o lugar de referência que todos conhecem, e na minha cidade, esse lugar é o parque Halfed. Ele nada mais é do que um lugar todo arborizado bem no meio do centro da cidade, um quarteirão inteiro com árvores e um espaço para as pessoas passearem ou mesmo se sentarem em alguns de seus diversos bancos espalhados.

E bem, já que eu estava ali, aproveitei para tirar algumas fotos do colégio bem famosos da cidade. Foi interessante poder fazer isso hoje, já que domingo é um dia de pouco movimento aqui no centro, e seria impossível levantar voo em um dia de semana no horário comercial.
