I've been doing some work in Oceanside lately and I took this opportunity to take my drone and fly in that area.
I actually wanted to go all the way to Dana Point, I've been wanting to fly there for a long time. I did try to fly there once and I posted here, but the weather didn't help. Dana Point is about 1 hour and 20 minutes driving from where I live and Oceanside is half way. So on Monday the weather was beautiful, I took my drone with me and during my lunch break I drove 40 minutes to get there and right when I got there the weather got bad again. I couldn't believe it!
The weather was pretty bad all week and yesterday the sun came out again, but it wasn't completely clear and I didn't want to risk a long drive for nothing again, so I just went for a flight at the Oceanside Harbor and the Pier.
I didn't have much time on my break, and I didn't plan this flight very well to find the best angles. So these pictures didn't come out as good as I wanted, but I think they are still pretty cool.
There are some restricted areas near the harbor because of a military base near by, so I couldn't fly north of the harbor. And even though I wasn't near an airport there were no fly restrictions where I was, but I could see small planes flying right above me at low altitude all the time, so I had to be careful. This was a pretty quick flight and here are the results, I hope you enjoy it.

I forgot to mention about a fire at the pier recently, there was a restaurant at the very end of the pier that caught on fire. You can see what it used to look like here:

Ultimamente, tenho feito alguns trabalhos em Oceanside e aproveitei a oportunidade para levar meu drone e voar naquela área.
Na verdade, eu queria ir até Dana Point, pois há muito tempo estou querendo voar meu drone lá. Tentei voar lá uma vez e postei aqui, mas o tempo não ajudou. Dana Point fica a cerca de 1 hora e 20 minutos de carro de onde moro e Oceanside fica na metade do caminho. Então, na segunda-feira, o tempo estava lindo, levei meu drone comigo e, durante minha pausa para o almoço, dirigi 40 minutos para chegar lá e, assim que cheguei, o tempo ficou ruim novamente. Eu não podia acreditar!
O tempo estava muito ruim durante toda a semana e ontem o sol voltou a aparecer, mas o tempo não estava completamente aberto e eu não queria arriscar uma longa viagem de carro para nada novamente, então fui apenas voar na marina e no píer de Oceanside.
Eu não tinha muito tempo no meu intervalo e não planejei muito bem esse voo para encontrar os melhores ângulos. Portanto, essas fotos não ficaram tão boas quanto eu queria, mas acho que ainda assim são bem legais.
Há algumas áreas restritas perto da marina devido a uma base militar próxima, portanto não pude voar ao norte da marina. E, embora eu não estivesse perto de um aeroporto, e não ter restrições de voo onde eu estava, eu podia ver pequenos aviões voando bem acima de mim em baixa altitude o tempo todo, então tive que tomar cuidado. Esse foi um voo bem rápido e aqui estão os resultados, espero que vocês gostem.

Esqueci de mencionar sobre um incêndio no píer recentemente. Havia um restaurante na ponta do píer que pegou fogo. Você pode ver como ele era antes aqui:
