Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog. Our guild finished another brawl. In today's post, I will share our performance in the brawl, my own contribution and featured battles.

Guild Ranking and Personal Contribution

Our guild ranked in sixth place. We won eighty two battles and lost fifty three. Our guild won seventy eight crowns that we can use to upgrade our buildings. Upgrading buildings give members benefits like a glint and SPS multiplier in won battles.

I managed to win six battles out of nine, contribution eighteen points to our brawl. Each of use who joined were rewarded with 4k merits and 49 SPS.

SPS Staked

I reached sort of a milestone ever since I staked SPS again after the release of Conclave Arcana. I now have reached 20k SPS staked and I add all rewards daily. This is on top of my 8k SPS on hive engine which I'm preparing for the release of the mini set this February.

Featured Battle - Quora and Sneak Assassins

In this battle, I tried a different strategy. I had a strong frontline tank and my damage dealers were sneak attackers to harass the enemy's back line. In the last position, I still had my usual Taunt unit to divide the enemy's attacks.

I used Kaylia Silverleaf archon to take advantage of her Execute ability granted to elves. The team was composed of the following units.

Quora Towershead

Quora is a versatile unit, able to play in any position but best in the frontline with her stats and abilities. She deals dual damage of two melee and magic, has three speed and huge health pool of twelve. She can heal herself making her an excellent tank.

Virid Venomancer

Virid Venomancer is a perfect combo for Quora. She provides Quora with the Shield ability adding another layer of defense to Quora against physical attacks. This makes Quora a tankier unit than ever. On offense, Virid Venomancer deals a decent two magic attack.

Next in the team are the sneak assassins.

Grove Doomblade

Grove Doomblade deals an insane melee damage of five. With this huge damage coupled with the Execute ability from Kaylia, she can wreck the enemy backline if her attack hits. On the downside, she is very slow making her attacks susceptible to dodge.

Bren Palesworn

Bren Palesworn is another sneak assassin with dual attack of melee and ranged. He has the Shapeshift ability enabling him to benefit from the archon's Bloodline Dominion buff.

Aranduriel

Aranduriel is my third sneak attacker that deals three ranged damage. She has decent health of five and middling speed of two. She has the Painforge ability making her a good unit to combo with reckless and burning units.

Silverleaf Mage

The Silverleaf Mage is a regular in my strategy because of her Taunt ability. I like spreading the enemy damage between my tank and Taunt unit. It also helps my damage dealers avoid sneak and opportunity attackers. On top of that, Silverleaf Mage deals three ranged damage and has enough health of ten to absorb some damage for many rounds.

Enemy Team and Battle

My strategy was somewhat countered because the enemy has a tanky backline with Shield ability. He also has a unit with Headwinds ability that decreased the attacks of my range units. With my physical attacks countered, I had to rely on my magic attackers in the frontline. Quora once again shone in this battle with her combination of offense and defense and carried the team to victory. Virid Venomancer was a capable support unit in both offense and defense.
