Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

Our guild has just concluded another brawl. We improved our ranking from last week's seventh place. We placed fourth in the brawl behind strong guilds. In today’s post, I’ll share a breakdown of our overall brawl results, share my personal contribution and feature a few of my favorite battles.

Guild Rank and Personal Performance

We finished the brawl in fourth place winning eighty six battles while losing fifty eight. Our guild earned ninety three crowns that we can use to improve our guild buildings.

I'm satisfied with my contribution in the brawl. I won six battles and lost two. Each of us who joine the brawl earned 4.8k merits and 62 SPS.

Featured Battles

Battle 1 - Quilliun Legionary vs Quora

I saw a post complaining about Quora in brawls. He has a point since the team that has Quora gets a huge advantage because of her stats and abilities. However, there are a couple of cards I know of that can counter her and one of them is Quilliun Legionary.

Quora deals dual damage of melee and magic and has high health making her a good tank. Her ability to heal herself further makes her tanky and when her bloodlust gets going then she's invincible.

One of the cards that can counter her is Quilliun Legionary. It's a rare card that has Thorns that returns Quora's melee damage and Void that decreases Quora's magic attacks. Supported by high damage attackers in the backline like Living Berm and Edith Emberstar, they can bring down Quora and win the battle.

Battle 2 - Quilliun vs Quora 2

Battle two is worse for the side that had Quora since the ruleset included Counterspell which returns magic damage. I didn't have that strong damage dealer support but my gladiator card, Katrelba Gobson was a deadly damage dealer of back line units. She helped reduce Quora's health and worked together with other units Thanalorian Blade and Kyraseth to win the battle.

Battle 3 - A Battle for Survival

This battle has a punishing ruleset. It combined Global Warming and Noxious Fumes. This means that the units will suffer from Burning and Poison starting from round two unless you have a unit with Cleanse. The total damage a unit can suffer from is four, two from Poison and two from Burning so units with four health and below will be eliminated. My star card in this battle was the Ujurak Brave who has eight health and Immunity ability. While Immunity counters Poison, it doesn't remove the Burning effect so it still suffered two damage. My units have the higher health and thus was able to survive this difficult battle.
