Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog! Our guild just concluded another brawl. In today's report, I will show our ranking, performance and featured battles.
We had a good result in our latest brawl. We were in fourth place, earning 109 crowns which we can use to upgrade our guild buildings. It gives us a boost in our glint and SPS rewards.

I contributed eight wins while losing only one battle, one of my best performance so far. Each of us who joined the brawl earned 5.7k merits and 79 SPS. It's a nice addition to my weekly SPS earnings.

In this battle, the enemy and I both used Earth splinter with the same strategy. We both had strong tanks followed by elves. This is a common strategy when using the Earth team, maximizing the Execute ability granted by the Earth archon. It's a powerful ability that allows your elven unit to attack twice in one round if its target's life decreases to two and below after the initial attack.
I had my Quora and Virid Venomancer combo in the front. I used this combo to give Quora an additional Shield ability, making her more tanky and harder to defeat. Next were the elves. Grove Doomblade is my strong Sneak attacker, dealing five melee damage each round. The problem is she's too slow and may be susceptible to Dodge so I included Silverleaf Warlock in the team. He increases the team's speed stat by one. I also had a Taunt unit, Silverleaf Mage to draw attacks away from my tank. Finally, a three mana filler unit completes my team.
The enemy had the same idea with Ulundin Overseer in the tank position followed by elves. This includes his gladiator card, Fina Voxom who has the Opportunity ability. Good thing I had a taunt unit that saved my low health units in the early rounds.
The battle was almost lost as the enemy's Fina hunted my low health units and triggered her Bloodlust ability. I had Quora against four units at one point but she soloed the enemy team and managed to win the battle.

This battle had two rulesets to consider. Back to Basics means the units have no abilities, but abilities granted by archons will still work. There's also Thick Skinned that decreases physical attacks. So I filled my team with magic attackers and I used the Earth archon who debuffs enemy magic attacks.
The enemy had a legendary archon but my team has the higher attack each round. Each of my units deal at least two damage per round while the enemy's units were less. The enemy's physical attacks were decreased and my archon debuffs his magic attacks. This gave me an advantage in the battle and I won much easier this time.

Quora is one of the most impressive cards in the entire game. Even when outnumbered, it wins.
