Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!
Wands Out is a regular ruleset in Splinterlands. In this ruleset, only magic units are allowed. The most common splinter used in this is Water with the Frontier archon who grants +1 magic to all units or Loving the Moo, who is grants Counterspell ability to two units. For me, I try to counter this set up with the Earth splinter since the archon, Kaylia Silverleaf debuffs the enemy's magic attacks. I also have a carry card in Earth for this ruleset: the Anchor Hex Adept.

The Anchor Hex Adept is a seven mana, rare reward card. At maxed levels it deals three magic damage and has three speed. It also has five armor and six health on defense. It has three useful abilities on its kit. Divine Shield makes it invulnerable for one turn, completely ignoring the first attack received. Void Armor allows it to use its armor to defend against magic attacks when usually magic ignors armor. Then there's Blind that increases chances of the team to evade the enemy's physical attacks.
My Anchor Hex Adept is at level four, giving it decent stats while having access to its two abilities. At this level, the Anchor Hex Adept is a viable tank in Wands Out ruleset owing to his defensive abilities and decent magic damage.
Here's a sample from my own battles with the Wands Out ruleset.

The Anchor Hex Adept took the first position. He ignores the first hit from the enemy and took no damage. He also used his armor to take some hits before his health stats is exposed to attack. In second position I had the Mindless Thrall. It's also a good tank in magic battles owing to its Phase ability complemented by its high speed stats. Next is Arcane Skinwalker who has the Shapeshift ability allowing it to benefit from the archon's bloodline buff. In fourth position is Stonebind Matron, a common reward card with decent magic damage. I intend to level this card up to five where it will get the Triage ability. In fifth is Blackmoor Wild Elf who also has the Execute ability from the archon. Lastly, I had the Mad Kaboomist who has the Snipe ability.
The enemy chose the Water splinter and had the Mindless Thrall as his tank. Included in his lineup were legendary cards Mystic Scaleweaver and Gramel the Hunger. My Anchor Hex Adept proved a capable tank in this battle, taking hits while the rest of the team did damage to the enemy. Inspite of having two legendary cards, the enemy was not able to take down my Anchor Hex Adept in time and I won the battle without losing a single unit.
