Social Media Challenge: Orella Abadon [EN - ESP]
Welcome, as every week, to my little Splinterlands space on the Hive blog. Once again, I'm kicking off my contributions with my participation in the Social Media Challenge. I'm continuing my series analyzing different cards from my ever-growing roster, and this week I'm taking a trip back in time with an analysis of a card from the Gladius edition that's been with me for over two years. Also, I'm departing from my beloved Earth and Water decks to analyze a card from the Fire deck. So, without further ado, I hope I've captured your attention and interest and that you'll continue reading this detailed analysis of my series. Here we go for another week.

And this week, as I mentioned in the introduction, we're going to focus on the Fire Deck and a card from the beloved Gladius edition. Today we're adding to the Social Media Challenge with an analysis of Orella Abadon, the Gladius card from the Fire Deck. She's an Efreet originally from the Burning Lands and the most veteran gladiator to join the professional fighting circuit. For an Efreet, she's very little different from the human race, her only detail being her pointy ears. The card design itself shows a figure with her arms crossed, a smug, confident look that reaffirms Orella Abadon's lore. I'd like to take this opportunity to praise and encourage you to take a look at all the lore that Splinterlands offers. It's vast and complete, and from which you can learn countless things about the game itself and the elements that comprise it.
Y esta semana, como te decía en la introducción, nos vamos a centrar en el mazo de fuego y en una carta de la querida edición Gladius. Hoy sumamos aporte para el Social Media Challenge con el análisis dde Orella Abadon, carta Gladius del mazo de fuego. Se trata de una Efreet originaria de las Tierras Ardientes y la gladiadora más veterana en unirse al circuito profesional de lucha.Para ser una Efreet se diferencia realmente poco de la raza humana siendo su único detalle las orejas puntiagudas. El diseño de la carta en si muestra una figura cruzada de brazos con un aire de suficiencia y confianza que reafirma el lore que posee Orella Abadon. Aprovecho este espacio para elogir y animarte a darle un vistazo a todo el lore que nos ofrece Splinterlands. Vasto y completo y del que se puede aprender infinidad de cosas sobre el propio juego y los elementos que lo conforman.
In my case, I'm going to study Orella Abadon with my evolved copy at level 5 - a level in which it already has three melee attack points, another three speed points, and four vitality points without shield points. All of this in exchange for just two summoning mana points. The card itself is ideal to use in battles with little available mana or even in those where we need to complete the barely two mana cost it has. At its initial level, it has two attack points, three speed points, and two vitality points. Its evolution will increase its attack by two points, its speed by one, and its vitality by three. Speaking of its special abilities, at its initial level, it has two. The first is Bloodlust, the one common to Gladius cards, and it will also have Sneak, which makes Orella Abadon an almost essential card in scenarios with limited summoning mana, since it will attack from the first moment, no matter where we place it. At level 5, the level I have it at, it will also add True Strike, making it even more fearsome and powerful.
En mi caso voy a estudiar a Orella Abadon con mi copia evolucionada a nivel 5- Un nivel en el que ya cuenta cpm tres puntos de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, otrs tres de velocidad y cuatro de vitalidad sin puntos de escudo. Todo ello a cambio de, tan solo, dos puntos de maná de invocación. La carta en si es ideal para utilizar en batallas de poco maná disponible o, incluso, en aquellas que necesitemos completar los apenas dos puntos de coste que tiene. En su nivel inicial tiene dos puntos de ataque, tres de velocidad y dos de vitalidad. Su evolución la hará aumentar en dos puntos el ataque, uno la velocidad y tres la vitalidad. Hablando de sus habilidades especiales, en su nivel inicial cuenta con dos. La primera es Bloodlust, la común a las cartas Gladius y, además contará con Sneak lo que hace de Orella Abadon una carta casi imprescindible en escenarios de maná de invocación limitado pues atacará desde el primer momento la ubiquemos donde la ubiquemos. A nivel 5, nivel en el que la tengo yo, sumará, además, True Strike haciéndola aún más temible y poderosa.
The battle I'm showing you Orella in action is one with 21 mana points available, allowing you to use only four cards with Weak Magic, Four's a Crowd, and Blood and Sunder as battle conditions. My opponent, machete3000, will be using an Earth deck, and I'll be using a Dragon deck with a contribution from a Fire deck, using Orella Abadon and Iidri Fyre from that deck. Let's see the battle.
La batalla en la que te muestro en acción a Orella es una con 21 puntos de maná disponible pudiendo utilizar tan solo cuatro cartas con la presencia como condiciones de batalla Weak magic, Four’s a Crowd y Blood and Sunder. Mi rival, machete3000, va a utilizar mazo de tierra y yo dragón con aporte del mazo de fuego utilizando de dicho mazo a Orella Abadon y a Iidri Fyre. Vamos a ver la batalla.
As you've seen in the replay, Bloodlust's presence has been decisive. Of the four cards used by the opponent, Orella Abadon eliminated two of them, adding twice the skill bonus provided by this Gladius ability. Since the possibility of using these cards in ranked battles became available, it's rare for a battle to go without a Gladius card in both formations. The combination of Bloodlust and Sneak, which allows attacking from the second line, makes it a deadly and extremely positive combo to use, especially in scenarios like this week's with low mana available. A resounding victory in which Orella Abadon played a decisive role and was ideal for completing this analysis and realizing her full potential. I hope it helps you in your future strategies.
Como has visto en la repetición, la presencia de Bloodlust ha sido determinante. Y es que de cuatro cartas utilizadas por el rival, Orella Abadon liquidó a dos de ellas sumando por dos veces el bonus de habilidades que proporciona esta habilidad Gladius. Desde que se abrió la posibilidad de utilizar estas cartas en las batallas de ranking rara es la batalla en la que no aparece una carta Gladius en ambas formaciones. La combinación Bloodlust con Sneak, que permite atacar desde la segunda línea hace que sea un combo mortal y extremadamente positivo para utilizar especialmente en escenarios como el de esta semana de poca cantidad de maná disponible. Victoria inapelable en la que Orella Abadon ha tenido un lugar determinante y ha sido ideal para completar este análisis y ver todo su potencial.
