Social Media Challenge: Broken Earth Thug [EN - ESP]
Good morning, dear friends and colleagues of the Splinterlands universe. Another week of keeping up with our first weekly challenge. Maybe one day I'll get around to setting aside some of the drawing design work. Our usual appointment with this week's Social Media Challenge brings you an analysis of a common rarity card from the Death Deck. A card that might go unnoticed but has a special ability that significantly improves its playability and, by extension, its everyday use. As always, first, a brief look at the lore, then a detailed analysis of its basic and special abilities, as well as its evolution. We continue with a sample battle and, finally, a brief personal opinion on the card and its performance in battle. That's the usual structure of my analyses, and this one won't stray from the script. Let's get to know a special kind of Venari. So, let's begin.

Quizá algún día me anime a apartar algo al de diseño de dibujos. Nuestra habitual cita con el Social Media Challenge de esta semana te va a traer el análisis de una carta de rareza común del mazo de muerte. Una carta que podría pasar desapercibida pero que cuenta con una habilidad especial que la hace subir muchos puntos en su jugabilidad y, por extensión, en su uso en el día a día el juego. Como siempre, primero una pequeña ubicación en cuanto al lore, analizamos en detalla sus habilidades básicas y especiales así como su evolución. Continuamos con una batalla de ejemplo y, para acabar, una pequeña opinión personal sobre la carta y su desempeño en batalla. Esa es la estructura habitual de mis análisis y este no se saldrá del guión. Vamos a conocer a un tipo especial de Venari. Comenzamos pues.
As you've seen in my latest analysis, I'm launching into studying decks other than Water and Earth, which, as you know, are my two best decks and the most and best evolved. This week I'm launching into Death. A deck I haven't dedicated this contribution to for several weeks for the Social Media Challenge. And I'm returning to it with the analysis of Broken Earth Thug. A card that, as its interesting lore indicates, is a member of the Broken Earth Clan. Of the Venari race, like other mythical cards in the game, it inhabits Goricah Hollow, caverns located in the Dagenfort Mountains and is characterized by occasionally raiding the surface, attacking any unsuspecting creatures they find there. Of course, always in the name of the benefit of the Empire and never seeking individual gain. Let's not be mistaken about the objectives of their assaults. Of course!
Como estás viendo en mis últimos análisis me estoy lanzando a estudiar mazos que no son ni el de agua ni el de tierra que, como sabes, son mis dos mejores mazos y los más y mejor evolucionados. Esta semana me lanzo a por el de muerte. Mazo al que hacia ya varias semanas que no dedicaba este aporte para el Social Media Challenge. Y vuelvo a él con el análisis de Broken Earth Thug. Una carta que, como indica su interesante lore, se trata de un miembro del Broken earth Clan. De raza Venari, como otras míticas cartas del juego, habita en Goricah Hollow, cavernas ubicadas en las Dagenfort Mountains y se caracterizan por realizar de vez en cuando raids en la superficie atacando a las criaturas despistadas que allí localicen. Eso si, siempre en nombre del beneficio del Imperio y nunca buscando el beneficio individual. No nos equivoquemos en los objetivos de sus asaltos. ¡Faltaría más!
Broken Earth Thug is a Common rarity card, meaning it can evolve up to ten levels. It initially gives us one melee attack point, two speed points, and three vitality points, all in exchange for just three summoning mana points. Additionally, at this first level, it provides a special ability that makes Broken Earth Thug a very usable card: Opportunity. Attacking from the second row is an effect we should always include in our strategies. Its upgrade at maximum level is two attack and speed points, three vitality points, and, although you might not expect this, it will also gain two shield points starting at level five. It will also gain an additional special ability at level 4, Cripple. It won't gain any more until the end.
Broken Earth Thug es una carta de rareza común, es decir, hasta diez niveles de evolución va a tener. De inicio nos aporta un punto de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, dos puntos de velocidad y tres de vitalidad todo ello a cambio de, tan solo, tres puntos de maná de invocación. Además, en este primer nivel, aporta una habilidad especial que convierte a Broken Earth Thug en una carta muy utilizable: Opportunity. Y es que atacar desde la segunda línea es un efecto que siempre debemos incluir en nuestras estrategias. Su mejora a nivel máximo es de 2 puntos de ataque y velocidad, tres de vitalidad y, aunque esto no te lo esperes, también va a ganar dos puntos de escudo a partir del nivel quinto. También va a ganar una habilidad especial adicional en el nivel 4 y esta es Cripple. Ya no ganará ninguna más hasta el final.
It's time for the sample battle. My opponent is going to be @aristobart, who also builds with a Death deck, and while we have some cards in common, Broken Earth Thug isn't a coincidence. There are 34 mana points available, and the battle conditions are Equalizer, Equal Opportunity, and Silenced Archons. Let's get to it and see how the fight plays out.
Turno para la batalla de ejemplo. Mi rival va a ser @aristobart que también forma con un mazo de muerte y, aunque coincidimos en alguna carta, no es Broken Earth Thug una coincidencia. 34 puntos de maná disponibles y como condiciones de batalla presentes aparecen Equalizer, Equal opportunity y Silenced Archons. Vamos al lio y a ver cómo se desarrolla el combate.
Although this battle featured the Equal Opportunity condition, which granted all cards the Opportunity ability, the basis of the Broken Earth Thug strategy, we've seen that the ability to attack from the second lane is essential, becoming even more important the lower the available summoning mana is. Additionally, since my copy is at level 5, you've already seen the advantage of also providing a shield point. Receiving an attack with 3, for example, points of damage that could severely damage my card is absorbed by the shield, giving it much greater playability and participation capacity. This is a very playable card in the death deck, and as a tip, take it at least to the level where it gains its second special ability and that additional shield point. That is, precisely level 5 where I have it. The difference from level 4 to 5 is brutal and can have a significant impact on the battles in which you decide to use the card analyzed this week: Broken Earth Thug.
Aunque en esta batalla estaba presenta la condición Equal Opportunity que proporcionaba a todas las cartas la habiulidad Opportunity, base de la estrategia con Broken Earth Thug, hemos podido comprobar que la capacidad de atacar desde la segunda línea es básica cobrando aún mayor importancia cuanto menor es el maná de invocación disponible. Adicionalmente, como mi copia está a nivel 5 ya has podido comprobar la ventaja de aportar también un punto de escudo. Recibir un ataque de 3, por ejemplo, puntos de daño que podría dejar muy tocada a mi carta lo absorbe el escudo dándole una jugabilidad y capacidad de participación mucho más alta. Carta muy jugable en el mazo de muerte y, como consejo, lleval, como mínimo, hasta el nivel en el que obtiene su segunda habilidad especial y ese punto adicional de escudo. Es decir, precisamente el nivel 5 en el que la tengo yo. La diferencia del nivel 4 al 5 es brutal y puede tener un impacto significativo en las batallas en las que decidas utilizar a la carta analizada esta semana: Broken Earth Thug.
