There Is Time For Everything

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

One of the preacher's messages, who was known as the wisest king, was on time. Yet time is one of the greatest weaknesses found among believers. When our prayers are delayed, the faith of many faints. When blessings are yet to come, people seek other means, and when God is silent, we curse God and suddenly forget his past goodness. All because we fail to harness the knowledge that God has set everything to a time, and only at its time is it beautiful to behold.

Most people who were blessed too early either became too proud, or their wealth led them to an early grave. Some women who were blessed with the fruit of the womb too early never truly appreciated the gift they had or became mockers of people who were childless. Sometimes delayed blessing is a blessing in disguise because it helps us appreciate that which we have and also gives it the maturity to manage it more effectively. God doesn't give a blessing that adds sorrow unless it's acquired at an inappropriate time.

The story of the servants who were given talents, each with a different measure. The talents that were given were not out of favoritism but based on their ability. The one who was given ten talents had the capacity to manage it, and so it was shared based on their capacity. So when a blessing is delayed, sometimes it's because our capacity is not yet at the measure of what is planned for us, or the blessing we seek may lead us astray. The preacher in his wisdom was able to unveil that everything is tied to time, just as sowing and harvest time, and only at its time is it beautiful.

So while we pray for blessings, we should also pray that they come at their appointed time while believing that everything is perfect in its time. We are short in knowledge to understand what God has made from the beginning to the end, and that's why we need to trust the process as we wait for the appointed time for our blessings.
