The use of non verbal communication in african culture

There is no doubt that non verbal communication has a great significance in the africa culture most especially in the yoruba culture. I remember when I was growing up my grandma usually use her eye, gesture or let me say body language to communication to us and there is no way that you will not understand for instance I went out with my grandmother to great a family friend on getting there we were offered food after eating I was asked if the portion I ate was okay to me it was okay as I was about to talk, I looked at the direction where my grandma was sitting immediately I saw I eye rolling up and down , immediately i told them am already filled I thought to myself this food is delicious it will not be good if one doesn't eat another round but looking at those eyes i was filled to the beam.

The tone of her voice, face expression and body language has a great message to us and we were aware of the message pass to us. All the sign have more meaning than even speaking the word to us.

Do you have any non verbal language in your country and what does it signify. Lets share our views in the comment section to learn from different culture.
