Shadows Of Plantain Blades || SMASh Contest #420

(edited)

Happy new week, everyone. It is almost the end of the Easter holidays, and I feel happy to have spent time with my loved ones and gotten some well-deserved rest.

For this week, there is so much to prepare for and work towards, so I will be expecting busier days. This time, I do not feel as burdened or worried about burnout because I believe I will be able to manage my time more effectively by reducing my presence on social media and avoiding mindless scrolling and chatting. I already started this during the weekend, and I was able to achieve more rest for myself.

To backtrack, earlier today, I decluttered some clothes in my room, made some meals, cleaned, and had a nice conversation with an acquaintance on Hive. All of these set the tone for how the rest of the day went. I proceeded to have a siesta, and this evening, I took a stroll to an old farm road I used to be familiar with as a child.

The path leading to this place brought back so many memories from when life was simpler and everyone used to run around playing hide and seek between the trees. I remember there were more plantations then, with grasses all around, but a few things have changed from my observations. There are more houses around, little to no grasses, and deforestation has taken place for the most part. However, the natural breeze and chirping of birds were still constant here, in full measure.

Before I left the scene, I took these few shadow photos, and even though I'm not totally satisfied with how they turned out, I'm happy I have the Shadow hunters community to encourage me. It was a refreshing walk at the end of the day, and I am glad I gave myself the opportunity to walk down this path. I hope you all have a lovely rest of your day.
