Shadow Hunters: Old stool -Entry for the Shadow Contest/SMASh.

The picture below is a stool from my mum. Even though the emphasis is on the shadow, the stool holds a story.

The stool is more than 18 years old, older than our youngest brother who was born around 2009. What is striking about it isn't the age but how strong it still looks, and this draws my attention to the quality of wood that was used in making it.

There are many chairs that were bought before it, made with wood, but most of them are broken and beyond repair, and some have been used as firewood. But here the giant of ancient times stands strong with no sign of spoil.

Below is the security of the house, taking a nap when he should be roaming the house looking for intruders. Haha! The dog was gifted to us early this year and is growing fast and already comfortable with everyone in the house.

Even though it's sleeping, its senses are still active. It wakes immediately when someone crosses its path.

The picture was taken at night. The electric bulb was the source of illumination that cast shadows in the two images. An Android phone (Redmi Note 13) was used to capture the images.
