DETESTABLE THINGS

Being looked down on and treated like you don't know what you're doing or like you are still a child and a fool is something that I detest alot, because alot of times when you try to stay and remain humble to those that are older than you in other to avoid unnecessary troubles, you get treated otherwise. Am saying this because of an experience I had personally one day, there is this my neighbour that works at a bet9ja(gambling) shop that is not too far from my house, which made it easy for me to go and charge my gadgets whenever there is no light in my house or area.

Something happened one day that got me really pissed off, normally at times I go to his shop to charge my gadgets during the day time whenever there is no light in the area and I don't want to turn on my generator. But on this faithful day I had alot of things to do so I decided to just turn on the generator regardless of anything in other to finish what I was doing which was urgent and needed immediate attention, so that evening when he came back from work, he came to my room to charge his phone and power bank along with some of my neighbours because there was no light at all throughout the day.
Because I was too busy with what I was doing that day, I didn't take note of who and who was charging their phones, power bank or other gadgets and as a result a fight nearly took place inside my room because of swapping of charger which I didn't take note at all. A female neighbour of mine came in and started shouting that who swapped her charger and replaced it with theirs making her phone not to charge at all and I was like "nobody swapped your charger" since I did not see when anybody swapped the charger but she insisted that her charger was swapped.

The commotion continued for some minutes as we decided to check the chargers to see if it was true and that neighbour of mine that works at a bet9ja shop was also seated inside with earpiece on his ears not caring about what was happening only for us to discover that it was her charger that he was using, so she spoke up and told him that she need her charger and was not happy that he swapped the chargers but his reaction was aggressive, he exploded and said that he did not swap any charger and that the charger was his.

We debated about the charger because her initials were clearly written on the charger and I also knew that his charger was faulty and was charging very slow because he complained to me about it, but I was surprised that he was denying it even when it was so obvious. Though their chargers were the same product but what got me more annoyed was when he wanted to use his age to claim that he was above that and nearly slapped the girl in my room claiming she was accusing him which also caught the attention of some of my neighbours in the compound that were also charging in my room and the rushed in and intervened in the situation also.

We probe the guy and ask him alot of questions, only for him to later agree that it was her charger and that he only wanted to boost his phone faster because he was going somewhere that evening and it was urgent, that was why he swapped the charger. We then asked him why he kept claiming that it was his own and he said he was only joking just to see the girls reaction and that really got us annoyed because that was obviously a lie, he was trying to backup himself because his earlier reaction spoke otherwise.

I was very disappointed in the guy for such act and continued with what I was doing but I also kept in mind to be very careful and cautious around somebody like that from that day henceforth because if he can behave like that because of charger how will it be when it comes to something more expensive and important that belong to another person.
