Can purpose really be achieved, or does it just evolve into something deeper, something that makes us either rethink every decision we ever made, or strengthen our resolve for greater things. You find someone whose dream is to enter into politics, they start from the very bottom, get into the state house of representative, becoming an honorable representative of a constituency seems big, but you find out after 8 years of service that the same person dreams of holding more power. Some go find connections, become commissioners and even gain ministerial appointments to serve under a ruling government for a time, then push on to running for governor of a state. Achieving that looks even bigger, the power, the immunity, and everything that makes a man powerful is what they now have, but they discover they are still limited.

Now they have all the power in a state, but the nation itself does not recognize them as people of too much importance. This makes them strive to gain even more power, using the current position to gain favors, and give favors that would open doors for them in the future. By the time their tenor for governor is over, you find them moving fast to run for a senatorial seat because that would push them closer to gaining recognition in their country. They get the seat, and in the process, make sure they use their power in serving either the current government, or a group of people capable of overthrowing the current government. They gain all the connections one would need to move forward and by the time their tenor is over, you find them pulling all the strings in their disposal to run for what looks like the ultimate. They run for presidency and when they achieve that something happens.
Some would choose to rest, not because there are no higher heights to reach, but because by this time, they have been spent. They have given everything humanly possible and even their lifespan might be nearing the end. All they want to do is enjoy the fruit of their labour. But then there are those who discover they still have strength for more, and they rise to gaining international recognition. They try to gain recognition either in the world or in their continent wielding the power a lot would only dream of but never reach. This all shows one thing, there is never an end to purpose, only that our lifespan, coupled with the challenges we face, makes us incapable of pursuing greater goals at the end of the day. At the end of the day, health is really wealth.
