Hive-Reachout weekly prompt 67// What's on my Mind?

Hello guys!!! Welcome to my space and to Hive-Reachout community. The theme of this week's prompt is tag "what's on your mind". Honestly, a lot of things always come into my mind, but one thing that has been staying there is the thought of getting a well paid job, starting up my own business and going for my master's degree program. I think about this things almost every day because I know how much it will change things for me and even for my family. Sometimes I also think about how I would like to have more than one source of income, and later on, go back to school for my master’s degree.

Right now, I thank God that I have a handwork I can do and also combining it teaching work. It is what has been sustaining me since I finished service. Without it, I don’t know how I would have been managing by now. But even with that, the truth is the money I make from it at the end is not enough. Each time I compare what I earn with my needs and the needs at home, it doesn’t balance. There are things I want to do, and responsibilities waiting for me, but the earning just doesn’t cover up everything. That is why I keep thinking of getting a well paid job because with that, I can meet my needs better and also plan for the future.

Since I finished service, I’ve been on the move, job hunting. I’ve written and submitted applications both online and physical. I’ve gone to offices, shared CVs, and applied in many places. Yet, up till now, the job has not come. Sometimes, it feels discouraging because I feel like after doing my part, something good should show up. But I still believe that one day, the right door will open and I will get the kind of job that will make all the effort worth it.

And like I said earlier, not just getting a well paid job but also establishing my own business. I cannot depend only on looking for jobs. Even if I get a well paid job, I still want to do business because I don’t want to have just one source of income. I want to establish something that will also grow big enough to employ others, and with time, create more opportunities. I want to have different source of income.

Another thing on my mind is going back to school for my master’s degree. I want to achieve that because I know education will add more value to me. With a higher qualification, I will stand a better chance both in the job market and in my business. It is not something I can do right now, but I believe that after down with a good job or business, I will make it happen.

So, that’s what is on my mind now. Getting a well-paid job, starting my own business, building more than one source of income, and then going for my master’s. Thank you very much for reading...
