Land and Sea Adventure with Friends going to the Beautiful Island of Sambawan

In this blog, let me share with you our fun travel going to Sambawan Island.

This has been planned a month earlier with my friends, so we are truly excited that this did not end up with just a plan but we were really able to go there in actual. Prior to the travel, we already have agreed of what food each of us would should bring.

We travelled as early as 5:00 in the morning going to the place where we are going to ride a motorboat. It is an hour land travel from home through our motorbike. Big boats going to the island usually depart from Kawayan port but an alternative means is by riding smaller motorboats operated by fisherfolks. Since we know a friend, who owns a motorboat and who has already sent a lot of tourist to the island for many years until now, we decided to contact him. There were many of us, so we rented three motor boats and each boats could accommodate at most six people including the operator. We paid 2500 pesos for each boat and we agreed that they would wait for us until the afternoon.

We were so excited as we started positioning ourselves in the motorboat. We are already an hour delayed from the original time of departure and we were afraid as the sea is starting to form bigger waves. We travelled for 45 minutes and we were just enjoying the travel despite being wet by the water each time the boat got hit by big waves. Thankfully, we reached the island safe and sound.

We were truly happy as we set foot on the white sand. We hurriedly went to the cottage where we should pay first an entrance of 125.00 each.

Many people were already ahead of us and some might have spent the night there. Since there is no longer any cottage left, we just rented for a table and chairs by the beach where we could put our things on.

We started by eating breakfast first and we were so happy with the yummy food everyone brought. There is spaghetti, chiffon cake, chicken stew, sweet potato, roasted chicken and rice cakes. We were so full of the delicious food.

After eating, we enjoyed the sea and went snorkelling. One of my friends rented a kayak for two hours, so all of us enjoyed riding the kayak alternately.

After swimming, we were still able to play some games. Then we took pictures here and there and went climbing at the top hill where you can see the whole island. We just have a limited time left as we need to go back to the mainland while the sea is calm. So we took pictures as fast as we could and the ate our lunch. We rested for a short while after taking lunch until we are signalled that it is time for us to go.

We really had a great time as we left the island.
