Four Years Down, Forever to Go- A Surprise Celebration for our Dear Couple

Today, we celebrated the 4th year anniversary of a couple who have been so dear to us. They may be young but following Bible principles helped them develop the good qualities a husband and a wife should have that helped strengthen their marriage and avoid temptations. We truly appreciated their goodness and self sacrificing spirit. They always priortize the need of others than their own. So to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary. We made them a simple surprise.

It was also nice to have a friend who loves to plan surprises, so under her lead and management we were able to pull off a surprise.

We planned to have the surprise at the celebrants home. Good thing, our surprise master have a spare key to their home so while they are not around we set things up. Of course we have other friends who kept the celebrants busy in another place. We asked them to help to clean a sister’s home until we give the signal that they may come home. Unbeknownst to them, we were busy preparing a surprise and still cooking at their home.

After two hours of preparation. Our friends who were with the celebrants sent a message that they are already on the way home. By that time, we are already setting up the food in the table. We turned off the lights and locked the door from the outside to make the couple think that no one is inside. They did not know that we are already behind the door waiting to surprise them with the greeting. It was my first time doing such surprise which I just usually see in videos. Honestly the feeling was so exciting while waiting for them to arrive until you hear their footsteps and as soon as they opened the door.

Things went according to plan. As soon as they opened the door, we greeted them “Happy Anniversary”. The couple were truly surprised that they even shed tears. They did not expect us to remember their anniversary date especially that we are all truly busy with many activities. They were grateful and we really had a good night. The food may be simple as we don’t really have much to offer but it would always be the thought that counts. We enjoyed the simple food and appreciated each others effort.

After the dinner, we also played some games. We played a guessing game then we also played with cards. Those who lose would be marked with a lipstick on their faces. It was a fun night. It would always be with great friends.
