Enduring Work Despite the many Troubles

Greetings everyone! Another day for another blog.

How was your day? I really had a challenging one at work.

Today there has been a scheduled power interruption for the entire day we lost power starting at 5:00 in the morning. I am usually anxious in this kind of situation because I have an online work and I need power to sustain. It was a perfect timing because the solar power station I ordered online has already arrived and I got to test it finally. Since there is no electricity, my internet is also affected, thus, I have to travel to town to search for a better signal using my mobile data.
Today’s working venue is at the baywalk which is a 10 minute drive from home. Just grateful that my brother is free and I asked him to take me there using our motorbike. My work starts at noon until 6:00 in the evening.

I was happy to find a place which is just cool, peaceful and there are vacant tables where I could place my laptop and other stuff. I was enjoying the scenery like the mountain, the sky and the sea. I also enjoy seeing the kids from a distant enjoying swimming and diving from the sea wall. It was terribly hot but I still could feel the cool breeze coming from the shore.

I thought that the peace and coolness would remain that way not until trucks and motorcycles delivering gravel and sand started coming and parked in front of me. I started becoming anxious because of the noise and I can no longer concentrate with work. Plus, there is dust everywhere as the laborers started unloading construction materials in front of me. During that time, I really felt helpless as I could no longer find any other convenient place to transfer to. So I had no choice but to remain at the place and endure the noise and dust.

In the late afternoon, more people kept coming just to walk and jog around the baywalk. Some came by families just to breath some fresh air and take their kids to walk and play in the wide plaza. I no longer mind the noise and just prayed that I would finish soon with work.

Despite the troubles I experienced at work today, I was somehow happy with my solar power station that has helped me sustain. I was able to charge my phone and laptop and continue with today’s work. I would say, I did not regret buying it.

I have an hour left until I finish work. And here comes another struggle because the tables that I’ve been using has to be taken by the owner. So I need to find a new place where I could place my gadgets. Who would have thought that a street lamp would be of help. Yes, it was funny indeed. I placed my laptop on the cemented foundation of a street lamp. I stayed there until I finished work.

I was just grateful I get to finish work despite all the work struggles I encountered today. I went home so hungry and exhausted.
