Today is another schedule to visit people in their homes and share words of comfort and beautiful hope in the future. Our territory schedule is in Barangay Tomalistis, which is just a 15 minute ride from home. It may be near but I am not so familiar with the place. Today, I got to explore every nook and cranny of it.

The community appears to be small from the outside but the reality is that there are many houses hidden in between. As we entered the barangay, I felt amazed to discover big houses one after another. But of course there are also small houses in some areas. The people were really so busy with many chores like doing laundry, cooking and cleaning. Still, I am happy that we were able to talk to many people. I even got the chance to meet relatives during our visit.

What I love the most is discovering a new place and relaxing views. I have always loved places near the sea. I have seen a lot of beautiful views like the sea, the mountain and the clear sky. It is even great that a friend brought a special camera and we did take a lot of pictures. We also took different poses in different parts of the places.
The sun is blazing but the air from the sea is so refreshing. The community is also a place for many fishermen. It is proven by lots of boats parked by the coast. Fishing and farming are the primary livelihood of the people here. But as we talked to the people, many were really affected by the hardships of life especially when it comes to financial and physical aspects of life. The place may look peaceful in a fine weather but is also dangerous during typhoon seasons that most of the people would need to evacuate during such times.

I felt really excited to see more of the place and another amazing find is the community’s water source that not only provides them water for drinking but unlimited water to do their laundry under a relaxing shade and perfect view. The community is known for their water source that tastes refreshing and sweet when you drink from it. There are many pipes where the water comes out so there is really no need for a a long queue. Some people were doing their laundry while many others are coming to fetch water. Some of the children were swimming on the sea. I feel like if you do your laundry here, you won't really feel lazy. I really wished to stay longer but we have to go and continue our mission for the morning.
Since our home was the closest to the territory, so some of my friends decided to have lunch at home. Mom cooked for us some sauted vegetable and fried squids. We had a lovely lunch.
Today was really a lot of fun, discovering a new place, meeting new people, having a fun time with friends. How I wish everyday is like this. Still, grateful for this kind of moments.
That would be all and thanks for reading. Until my next blog! Love lots. Nes

In the Philippines, it is hard to say which government department is the most corrupt, because each one seems more corrupt than the others. However, according to surveys, more than 60% of people believe that the police department is very corrupt.
