A Fun Weekend at the Beach- Playing Games and Overnight Camping

Today was our special meeting. We had an invited speaker who gave a Bible-based talk on the title “Who is going to restore the earth? ” Despite the chaos that is happening now, there is surely hope in the future when human kind could live happily in peace. We were happy that many people attended the meeting and have heard of this comforting message.

After an hour and half meeting and greetings, we have agreed to have lunch at one of the nearest resort in the area- the Paradise Beach Resort. Since our visitors mentioned that they love beaches, we decided to take them here.

Since it is the weekend, a lot of people came. We witnessed people gathered for a celebration, some were groups of friends who just wanted to chill and hang out. Many cottages were already occupied but we were still grateful that we were able to secure a cottage where we could put our stuff in.

It was already past lunch time when we get started to eat because we waited for everyone. Each of us brought different kinds of food and everything is really delicious. Some brought roasted chicken, chicken with coconut milk, meatballs, lumpia, rootcrops like boiled sweet potatos, banana and sauted vegetables. I really had a full tummy.

After eating we played games. Some played badminton, while the rest of us played a games using slippers. The mechanics of the game is just like that of baseball. A team has to throw the slippers while another team has to catch it. While the other team takes time to get the slippers, the thrower has the chance to transfer to another station and be able to pass all of the stations without being hit. It was actually fun.

Another fun game we played, is a mobile game named "IMPOSTOR" wherein we have to describe a thing we see on the screen, and afterwards, we have to guess who the impostor is or the one who hasn't read any word and just trying to describe along. It was my first time playing the game and all of us enjoyed it that we took a very long time playing it.

There is no mobile reception in the place and I would say it has helped that we were able to enjoy each others company. We laughed at each others stories instead of using gadgets. We also prepared dinner at the site, we grilled some pork and sausages. We had another yummy meal.

One of my friends love spearfishing, so he went diving for two hours and got back with lots of fish and a crab.

When it is almost night time, we started settig our tents as we also planned to stayed the night. The breeze is so cool and just grateful that it didn't rain. Only that we really experience backaches the next morning because we set our tents on the stone and we didnt bring much mats or thick sheets to lie on. Still, I would say I had a great sleep.
