As Nutrition Month is fast approaching at my child’s school, I want to make an effort to be involved in his activity. The teacher mentioned that the kids should wear a costume related to the event. If they cannot wear a costume, they may simply wear any green shirt they already have. However, I wanted to put in more effort, so I decided to make one myself.
Initially, I had planned to just buy a costume online, but I changed my mind since it would cost more and my child would only wear it once. I thought a DIY costume would be more practical and meaningful.
The teacher also asked us to bring a long folder because she volunteered to make the students’ headdresses. At first, I considered making my child’s headdress myself, but when I saw the teacher’s work, I immediately decided to let her handle it-it looked much better.
While waiting for my child's class to finish, I had a little snack first cause I haven't eaten my breakfast I'm kind of hungry, I went to the school's canteen and bought this.
After my child’s class, we went to the mall to buy materials for making his costume, but bought a meal for our lunch first since I don't have enough time to cook at home.
On the way, my son saw a beggar and he insisted on giving him something. He has always been like this whenever he sees unfortunate people he always grabs me and tells me to give something and it makes me proud that he has an emphathetic heart I hope he won't change in the future, bless his pure heart.
We first checked in our baggage, then took the elevator to the 4th floor.
We're already in the school supplies area and went through each section to get the materials. I bought cartolina paper, crayons, scissors, glue, and scotch tape. My son also insisted on buying a clay bar for him to play with-just look at that happy face ❤️.
After gathering everything, we proceeded to the cashier to pay. While waiting in line, I noticed a beautiful table set behind me and took a picture of it. I love its gold color-it can match with almost anything. I’ve been wanting to buy a set like this, but for now, it’s not within the budget.
Once we finished paying, we took the elevator down to the ground floor and headed home.
I then started working on my son’s costume.
That’s all for today’s small agenda. Thanks for dropping by!
