𝑰𝒕 𝑻𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒖𝒕 𝑻𝒐 𝑩𝒆 𝑨 𝑩𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑰𝒏 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒈𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒆

I spent my day at the coffee shop unintentionally. It turned out to be a very good day cause I closed a deal in that same coffee shop.

Firstly, I think it's good to always look your best cause you never can tell where your next deal might come from.

On this fateful day being the 5th of January, I wanted to go visit a particular fabric store I saw on Instagram. According to report, it's a new store in town and I heard they sell very good quality fabrics at an affordable price, so I thought of checking them out.

Suddenly, the sky became very cloudy, dark and windy! It was about to rain. The whole climate has changed,it's unusual for it to rain in January in this part of my work..but I'm aware that, change is constant.

I've been at the bus stop for over ten minutes, I decided to quickly run into the coffee shop adjacent to it.

I already had some beverages before leaving the house but I had no choice but to purchase another a cup of coffee to keep warm while I waited for the sky to clear off.

As I approached the barista, a lady walked up to me. "Hey, you look very good!" I smiled, warmly received the compliment and told her I made the outfit I was wearing.

"I would love to make one for myself, can we discuss about the price and all?" She further inquired.

I was so excited but well-composed. We grabbed the seat and began our business discussion.

She asked what kind of a fabric or was and the cost of production. We exchanged contact and she deposited a 70@% on the spot. The best part is, I always walk with my tape measure, so I brought it out and measured her.

I also gave her an appointment to come for fittings and pick up. It is one of the best day in 2026 so far.

It's one rare experience as a designer, to meet with strangers who genuinely want to do business with you at the spot.

We stayed at the coffee shop for almost forty-five minutes. Fortunately, the sky cleared up and we went our separate ways hoping to meet very soon again.

This is a reminder to always be on your A-game, strangers might vibe willing to mingle with you, base on the first impression they get.

I just can't wait to start working on her dress. Well, I got to the new store and realize they hadn't opened for the year yet. I was told they'll be opened on the 12th of January.

Holy shit.. It wasn't a bad day after all, at least I bagged a deal and that's the goal to always show up! Some disappointments are actually blessings in disguise!
