Winter Cycling

It is always a great experience to have cycling in the Huairou district where I am living, whether it is in the city area, in the rural areas or in the mountain regions of the district, as it offers amazing views wherever you go and wherever you look. Everywhere you can find amazing beauty with the less busy street, many iconic bridges on many rivers and canals, hundreds of mountains in the far horizons if the weather is clear enough and eyesight is very good. On sunny and clean days, the weather becomes so clear that the brightness of the colours increases and everything becomes more beautiful here, even the winter colour with monochrome and dulness, the bright and shining sun can change the views, as you can see in these photos.

These photos I have taken from one of my winter cycling sessions last February, which was in the first week of the month, and it was the full winter, but that week the temperature rose a bit, and I found a weekend with warmer temperatures and clear weather to enjoy my outdoor activity in the surrounding city areas of the Huairou district. The location is also not from my living area, which is around 5/7 kilometer from my dormitory, and the area is also so beautiful without any hesitation.

The surroundings of the area have a long river, and I was cycling by the riverside road, and you can see a watch tower in the middle of the road that is located in a great location, which I will write a travel story about soon, when I have enough time. Also, the bridge that you see is one of the best points to see the beauty of both sides. You can see the winter brown colour almost everywhere in nature, except the far mountains that have some touch of greenery with the trees that have leaves all around the year.

There is no water in the river as of that day, and you can see a tiny are of the river is frozen where the local peole were enjoying there winter outdoor activity just like me in their own way. And the other side of the bridge is in the mountain regions, and these mountains are the same mountains near the Yanqi Lake, where I often go, but from that bridge, the lake is quite far. The route is different, and I need another 5/6 kilometres to go to the scenic spot of Yanqi Lake.

The weather was warmer that day, making it a comfortable day, with fresh, pure oxygen and warmer temperatures, making it a great time to explore nature during my outdoor adventure.
