To shield our bicycles from damage, we should take time to clean them regularly. No matter what kind of bike we ride, washing your bike regularly will ensure that all your expensive bike parts have a long-lasting life. let's take the time to clean them, so taking the time to wash your bike is a necessity. If you're riding a road bike, take time to "degrease" and "re-grease" your drivetrain. If you're riding a mountain bike, you should clean it once a week with regular use in dry climates.
Washing the bike.
Rinse your bike.
Use the hose on the “shower” setting to thoroughly rinse your bike.
Apply pressure so that it could cause dirt and debris to be removed from all the sensitive parts
Apply degreaser.
Use a bike-specific degreaser on the entire drivetrain (cassette, derailleurs, chain, chainrings)
As the foaming degreaser is working, use your brush kit to scrub the rest of the bike. Keep “drivetrain brushes” and “frame brushes” separate, to prevent a greasy bike
To keep grime and dirt out of the case, gears must be washed. Dip your brush into a mixture of water and biodegradable solvent and run it between each set of gears. If it's possible, hold the brush in place while pedalling with the other hand.
When you’re satisfied, again use the “shower” setting on the hose to rinse off the entire bike.
Take your bike off the stand or flip it over and bounce it on the tires to remove excess water.
If it is a sunny day, then you can set the bike out in the sun to dry. If the bike isn’t dried in 10 minutes then apply rugs to dry off water.
Always add lube to keep your chain running smoothly after drying your drivetrain. There are many different types of lube out there (wet, dry, ceramic, etc.), with at least 6 pedal rotations. For about 5 minutes, allow the lube to soak into the chain.
Wipe away excess lube with a rag. Excess lube will seduce more dirt to your drivetrain.
To prevent squeaking (making a high-pitched sound) or seizing, certain parts of your bike will rust and require new grease. Examples include saddle rail clamp bolts, seat posts, seat post clamps, headsets, stem bolts, pedal threads, bottom bracket bearings, derailleur pulleys, and a variety of other items.
To have lasting equipment, keeping it clean is a must.
That's very correct

You're welcome @adeade123! Have a nice day 😊👍
I had a bike once whilst growing up and reading this I know for sure I did a very bad job taking care of it. 😅
Now I know better thanks to you🙏🏽💕
You are welcome
Everything you talked about are just like precautions we must take while dealing with a bicycle. Welldone for giving us this tips
Yes , we need to make sure we do them to prolong the life span of our bikes
Exactly.....
I understand this thing correctly.
Even when the bicycles we used were not the fancy ones, we still washed them to keep them in good state.
Lubing is what we do often to keep the chain running smoothly.
That's very correct , if one wants to enjoy his or her bike
Yes bro 👌
It's certainly a good idea to keep your bicycle clean. It not only saves you money since your expensive bike parts wear out less quickly as you mention, but it also keeps your bicycle running smoothly.
I made a blog post of me cleaning my bicycle earlier this year too:
