I remember the first time I ever heard about Bitcoin, it was back in 2013 and I found the concept fascinating. At the time it was only selling for about $100, and I briefly considered buying some. However, as fate would have it, I had just started my own company up and almost all my cash was going into that little venture. Talk about opportunity cost at it's very finest! Sure, I made a good living from the business, but I could be a multimillionaire retired in the south of France with a giant yacht had things gone the other direction. Such is life...
For those who have known me for some time, you know that I've always been into investing in precious metals. I've done so since I was young, and it really can become a way of life. It has for me over the years. It's also fueled my searches for sunken and lost treasures in the Caribbean to metal detecting and panning for gold nuggets. I've found lots of gold nuggets over the years, but that sunken treasure is still eluding me!
Several years ago while looking for something entirely different, I came across a few of these one Troy ounce silver Bitcoin rounds. I bought them because they were cheap and got a deal since they weren't in perfect condition. I've shared another one of them sometime back, but since BTC is treating us all so well I though it would be a great time to share another!
Aren't they awesome one ounce silver rounds? Apparently these were produced by an APMEX and BitPay partnership. You can pick up brand new shiny ones on APMEX.com today for $53.23. I'm sure they would look nicer than mine, but I bought them when silver was still cheap, so I paid less than half that amount! Silver is just shy of $48 per Troy ounce right now, and it looks like $50 is coming soon.
Now onto the Bitcoin chart over the last week. Talk about some nice price movement, the momentum doesn't seem to have stopped and I wouldn't be surprised to see the testing of $128,000 in the next week. At least I hope so! Sadly, I'm not a psychic... So don't bet the farm on my prediction.
BTC over the last seven days from coingecko.com
There are a lot of calls for BTC to hit $168,000 or higher by the end of the year. I sure wouldn't complain. It's a fun time to be a holder of BTC right now. Now if we could only light a fire under Hive as well, it would be all out party! What are your predictions for BTC in the near future?
That will wrap up my post for this Sunday. I'm still working on a permanent topic for the day ever since my giveaway has come to an end. However, I hope you enjoyed my cool BTC silver round. They are an innovative silver creation! Please feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments below, and thank you for all of your support and engagement. I really do appreciate it! Have a great Sunday everyone!

Yeah, I should have held on to what little BTC I had when I made the crytpo plunge. No use crying over it though. I've sold most of my crypto holdings at this point. Hive is about all I have now. Silver is looking nice and tempted to sell a little, but plan to hold it for now. I think it and gold will continue to climb for a while longer.
I'm thinking about moving some of my silver into gold, especially the generic bars I don't care much about. I may look into into in more seriously tomorrow. Missing out on the BTC train in the day was sad, but it's life. Not much we can do now! lol
How are you holding up brother?
Holding up well and you?
Wow, life has a different destiny in store for you. Maybe the yacht and the luxuries will be here soon. When we have a BTC at 168K and a Hive at $10. Hehe. Greetings, friend.
All that it takes to change the course of your life can be one decision. I've made a few of those before, some came out well and others were unmitigated disasters! It's what makes life interesting!

That’s around when I finally bought. Spring/summer 2013 at $80 bucks
I bought 1K worth and had 25 when it dipped to $70… I sold 24 at $800 and paid off some doubt. I kept the one and sold half at 1K. Kept the .5 but didn’t buy again until 2016 when it broke 2013 high telling me it wasn’t a fail as most things don’t go back to pre ious high. I sold it all besides .1 near 2017 high. Got lucky calling tip to the day and told everybody to sell half at least at 18K. Pure luck I posted on instagram the day of the top 12/16/25. But didn’t really start buying weekly and heady until 3K in 2019…. I’ve built up a few bitcoin but if I had just held what I bought in 2013 of have way more! & I wouldn’t of had to buy with 20% my income past 5 years
Ouch... But there was no way of really knowing if BTC was going to go anywhere. At least you came out ahead in the end, but you could have been retired in the south of France if you had just held on... lol
All we can do now is invest brother, and hope for the best!

Could be much worse! Could have not bothered buying once I really understood it 5 years ago! But yeah much easier would of been just keeping what I had in 2013 😂

Finding 2013 on map where I once held 25 plus is wild! ⬇️
I have some cheap btc that I can't access 🤣🤣🤣 but life is life. I tend not to dwell on what we should or should have not done in days gone by. I am a firm believer we are where we are because of what we did, and if we didn't do what we did we might not be where we are and that is talking here on Hive!
Monday morning philosophy, where the fluff did that come from 🤣 Enjoy your week and enjoy investigating moving silver into gold.
Too bad you can't access it... That's an all too common story sadly. There was the guy who lost his drive in the garbage and it's ow worth $100 million. Then they wouldn't let him dig at the dump to look for it! Ouch...
yeah he is trying another way now apparently I read last week.
I have enough BTC to buy almost 5 oz. of gold. Tempting to spend it but it would not be in keeping with my ideal of asset diversity.
!PIZZA I'm outta pimp.

That's not too bad, I think I would hang onto them personally since you already have a pretty nice stack. Diversity in investing is a very wise thing!

I started looking into bitcoin when it was under a dollar. But I couldn't figure it out. Then I bought in and ended up selling several bitcoin to pay a down payment on a beautiful home which I later lost in a horribly expensive divorce.
That's fine the future is still bright for bitcoin.
Been there and done that on the expensive divorce, I feel for you. Too bad the house was sacrificed in the process... I guess the lesson is never marry and if you cohabitate do so only in a state where there is no common law marriage. Also one where assets are not considered mutual property...
Too bad you sold after picking it up so cheap, but it got you into a nice house! At least for awhile...
I sold a little of my BTC back before the huge $60K rally back in 2020 I think, mostly because i need cash to pay some of my debt, and now I regret the decision, as what I used to pay for the monthly payment, is worth the whole debt now. hahah
but hey, my credit score would be hurt if I didn't make that decision.
!lolz !PIZZA !LUV
Life is all about decision, there will be regrets, but all we can do is just to smile for those opportunity lost. ;)
at least we are alive now. hahah
Sometimes we all need the cash, it happens. I wish I could go back and change things, but too late now! lol
Having a good credit score is important in life sadly... Hopefully another big opportunity will come along in the next year or two we can all invest in and make a fortune!

I'm with you brother!
Let's hope we can all take advantage of BTC now while it's still relatively low. We can't go back in time, but we can plan for the future!
For sure!
Around 2007, tipping websites some bitcoin was fairly common. I got an email from a reader wanting to donate some to me. I briefly looked into it, but setting up a wallet seemed pretty complicated for something I thought I'd probably never use.
Oh well. Easy come, easy go. But even if I had accepted it, I probably would have sold it at some point before it really exploded. So it's all good. Let's hope another opportunity like that comes around in my life, and that I'm smart enough to take it.
Easy come, easy go! I completely agree! I've made the mistake of selling some things too soon myself, I might have done the same if I had bought a bunch of BTC back then! Hopefully, another huge opportunity will come along in the next couple of years and we can all benefit!
As with adventures, investing requires a spirit of adventure and a desire to live without regrets. Now I'm interested in learning how to invest in silver. Thanks for these posts. !ALIVE
I'm glad you enjoy them! I think a balance of precious metals and crypto are the smartest move right now. Investing in silver isn't too hard, simply start buying some, but make sure the price is right. The closer you can get to the "spot" price the better, there are lots of people who try to overcharge you!

Back in 2016 I was picking up some silver at our local Coin shop, and asked the shop owner what he thought about bitcoin….
“It’s a scam, if you don’t hold it you don’t own it!”
So I missed a good price opportunity as well!🙄
The next year both Liz and I started on this blockchain, and took the Crypto plunge!☺️
Such a funny thing to look back on now though, maybe in a different universe the other me bought the Bitcoin! Most people didn't know much about crypto back then. It does make me think a time machine would be nice to have for those missed opportunities, but live and learn. I'm glad you too got into crypto the following year, it's a great way to invest along with that gold and silver!
I guess it’s the same thing when you hear about people that were maybe a janitor for Microsoft or Apple and now they’re millionaires!😇
That was one time I wish I had not listened to the advice from my local Coin shop proprietor, Lol
back then, I was dollar cost averaging once a month with gold and silver, so things still turned out very well with precious metals being up!😊🤗
