POOPIL, you want this in your life. You need this.

Everyone wants POOPIL.

What is POOPIL?

POOPIL: Proof Of Only People I Like

This is Proof Of Node, or Proof of Pleb. Proof of Ordinary People. Proof of The Common Man.

One person One Vote.

But only if the people voting are people I like and agree with.

Everyone wants POOPIL.

Proof of Work

Well we have proof of Work.

The problem here is that your crypto becomes controlled by the Big Rich Miners. Foreign interests. The Deep State.
The Evil Corporations.

Ordinary people mining in their homes matter less.

That's no good.

Proof of Stake

And everyone loves to hates Proof of Stake.

With proof of Stake, only whales with huge amounts of cryptocurrency have a large say on the chain. Common people with small stake only have a tiny vote.

The rich have more power.

That's no good either.

So it has to be POOPIL

What we really want is for ordinary people to have the power.

Not giant miners.

Not whales.

Not corporations.

Not governments.

Just regular people.

The Right People.

The people we trust.

The people we agree with.

The people we like.

POOPIL.

Problem: how do you get POOPIL?

Here is the problem.

No one knows how to make it happen while staying decentralized.

You can try One Person One Vote. Simple enough.

But how do you enforce it? What prevents me from creating dozens of accounts? Or even thousands?

You need a powerful centralized agency to insure that one person can only vote once. And even with this, that often fails.

I've been in crypto for 15 years plus, basically as long as it has existed, and I have yet to see anything that delivered POOPIL.

Is POOPIL possible?

Personally I doubt it.

How does the network know who "ordinary people" are?

It doesn't know who "good people" are.

Proof of Work measures work.

Proof of State measures stake.

But POOPIL has to measure something much stranger:

Whether you are the type of person we want to have power.

And that is very hard to do without somebody having the power to decide who those people are.

POOPIL is difficult to obtain.

It may even be impossible.

And that is the POOP PILL you have to swallow.
