Excessive temperatures have caused extensive damage to crops in the croplands.

Bangladesh is one of the major agricultural countries. About 75% of the people of Bangladesh work in agriculture and earn their living through agriculture. However, although Bangladesh is an agricultural country, the weather in this country is not very good. There are many adverse weather conditions and there is a lot of damage to the crops in the hot season. Especially in the summer, drought makes the crop lands more barren and spoils the quality of the crops.

We have our own agricultural land. I am the son of a farmer and my father earns our living by doing agricultural work. Last year we took a land lease for about 10 thousand taka.

We took only 15 percent of the agricultural land for 10 thousand taka for one year. After taking the lease, we cultivated jute for the first time on that land. After cultivating jute, our land did not produce very good quality jute. Because the weather was very bad and due to extreme sun and temperature, the jute land did not produce a good crop.

Last time we cultivated jute and we spent a lot of money on jute cultivation including fertilizer and pesticide. We invested 50 thousand taka on about 15% of the land. Finally we were able to collect 30 thousand taka by selling jute and we had a loss of the remaining 20 thousand taka.

But this year my father decided to cultivate corn 🌽. Although we had forbidden my father to cultivate corn, he still did not keep his word.

Finally, the corn cultivation activity started and we sowed corn in our land two months ago. Sir, including all the expenses of pesticides and other seeds, the farmer spent a total of 40 thousand taka on our 15 percent land. We were hopeful that this time our land would produce good corn as expected and we would be able to make some profit from it.

But the farmer's sorrow lasts for twelve months. There are some people whose dreams never come true. In the morning, my father woke up, finished eating and drinking, and went to our agricultural land to see the corn. However, my father was very disappointed when he went.

Because due to extreme heat and drought, all the trees died. Each tree had very good quality fruits. The corn trees were two feet tall and their size was quite good.

But later, drought and extremely high temperatures ruined our agricultural land. There are many farmers around who cultivate corn on their agricultural land. However, the condition of their crops is not as bad as ours. However, when my father went to the field, all the trees were dead and if there is any more time, all the trees will be destroyed and the fruits will be ruined.

That's why my father decided to cut down all the trees and collect the corn. Even though the price of pesticides, seeds and fertilizers will not go up, we will still have to carry the crops from the land to our homes. Because a farmer can never cultivate crops without a lot of patience.

As per the decision, my father and I collected the corn from our agricultural land in the morning. For this, we had to cut down all the trees and collect the corn from the land.

Although we had to face a lot of losses while cultivating, this is our profession. As a farmer's son, we should never give up on farming. Although we do not have any agricultural land of our own, we are still cultivating the land on lease. However, we are hopeful that in the future we will be able to cultivate good quality crops and we are hopeful that all our losses will be recouped.
